2019 Year End Review

Some realizations muna……

10 years ago, I started blogging. I resigned from the corporate world and decided to take care of my son who was diagnosed to have an intellectual disability – Autism. We struggled financially and emotionally at that time. Blogging was my way to be sane from all the problems and hardships our family was going through. Writing became my outlet, it helps me to open up and surprisingly, I even got readers who got inspired from our story. Wala pa yung getting paid from blogging that time.

There were only a few bloggers back then. I’ve met Pehpot then Badet and Peachy in a mommy group that I was a part of also. Year 2014 noong naging official kaming magku-kumare because Peachy got pregnant with her daughter Twinkle.

Sadly, some of the mommy bloggers na mga ka-batch namin are not active in the blogging world anymore. Today, ang dami ng mommy bloggers here and there.

Ang sarap balikan ng mga nakaraan kasi makikita mo saan ka nag fail, saan ka nag succeed etc. I am glad I made Year End Review posts every year (except from 2011-2014, ewan ko bakit di ako gumawa ng mga taon na’to). Read my 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 kung trip mo magbasa.

For this year 2019, here are some of things that happened in our lives that I wanted to share with you.

JANUARY – Our family together with my mom and sister went to Baguio to have a short vacation. My mom’s last visit to this place was when she was still in Grade 6, 68 years old na sya ngayon guys, musta naman. I am so happy that I was able to bring her there again. I got a campaign from Promil iShine 7 also this month.. I’m so happy for that opportunity because Ren got to join the dance camp by GFORCE, During this month, I was also featured at Landers Mom’s Day Out together with Nadine Henson. Plus was also interviewed for Kid’s Ink store in BGC.

FEBRUARY – got a project Tough Mama and from Camella. The Camella project was supposed to be a long term project, pero hindi natuloy. Perhaps may reason si Lord and hindi ako bitter about that beside nagpapasalamat pa ako. I bought a columbarium at Santuaria Divino near our place here in Cavite for the future.

MARCH – I got projects from Vicks and Lemon Square this month. Also pinaplano ko na ang bathroom makeover ng bahay. In short walang masyadong ganap this month.

APRIL – We went to Manila Ocean Park and had a staycation at City Garden Suites in Manila. Ito din yung month na napagawa ko ang CR namin. I also bought an Air Bike this month. I got a campaign from JOY Dishwashing Liquid. We also watched Avengers End Game this month.

MAY – This month’s highlight was when Ren was featured at GMA7 News Public Affair – Reel Time. Ren also graduated from Promil’s iShine Talent Camp, grabe nakaka proud.

I also got a project from Andoks, Pinesol, Red Doorz and Cecon. During this month, I’ve met old mommy blogger friends and we had a day-off at Wensha Spa in Pasay. Then I lost my Huawei Y6 phone this month. It was taken out from my backpack. I’m glad I was able to retrieve my numbers from the 2 SIMS inside the phone. Paano? read HERE

JUNE – I bought a new phone Xiaomi RedMi Note7. Got a project from Ariel Instashine. We went to Toycon at SMX in Mall of Asia this month.

JULY – We celebrated my mom’s birthday and bought her a money cake. Ang saya nya sa perang nakuha nya hahaha. I attended a FOREX Training Seminar at Acacia Hotel in Alabang. I was not able to blog about it because I was not convinced of doing it. It was my first time to try Popeye’s also since they opened their store at Alabang Town Center and I got an invite to attend. I got a campaign from Maxipeel.

AUGUST – I met my idol Ms. Lea Salonga at Ariel Instashine event. Nakakaiyak!!! In this month we also started our 2nd year of homeschooling. I also attended a new group for empowered women called Connected Women (search them on Facebook and join if you want to learn something new from fellow women). I got a project from Tala Philippines this month too. The Kumare Bloggers also had our first ever LIVE talk at Spectrumed in Makati, our topic is about Feminine health.

SEPTEMBER – We started to have our house renovation this month. Also, during this month, we were able to go to HongKong too. It’s our first time to go there and we had a lot of fun and palpak along the way. I got a project from Colgate this month.

OCTOBER – I saw Ms. Lea Salonga again when I attended the Sweeney Todd Press Conference. I was hoping to get tickets for the show but unfortunately waley binigay, but still okay na din to see her again in person. I got project from SM Streetfood and Nestle All Purpose Cream 125ml + White Flower and Little Dapitan. We celebrated Halloween at The Maya Kitchen this month too.

NOVEMBER – FINALLY our house renovation was finished. I will show it to you soon, I’m just waiting for pending accessories like my husband’s masterpiece paint for the wall, wall mirror and high chair for the bar. This month we went to Bocaue Bulacan to attend and witness the Opening Ceremony of SEA GAMES. Also this month the Kumare Bloggers are all together the entire day (almost).

DECEMBER – The Kumare Bloggers managed to organized a community Christmas Party for 5 days. Yes, we held our first ever Kumare Bloggers Christmas Party this year attended by 80 people.

I also met some South Momma Bloggers this month.

I bought a new phone for my husband, which is Real Me 5 that I haven’t blogged about. I got projects from PayMaya, Nestle All Purpose Cream, USMEF and Erceflora this month. We also went to Tagaytay and stayed at Royale Parc Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I was able to purchase my dream side by side refrigerator before the year ended too. Lastly, we now have a dog: Juggie!

OVERALL, 2019 was one of our best year. We had vacations local and abroad, we were able to have our house renovated ng walang utang. Plus we did not have a hospital visit for confinement, only check up.

Glory to God to all His blessings and mercy towards us. I am praying that 2020 will be another great year for us and to all of you who are reading this. May God shower us His blessings now and forever. AMEN!!!
