2016 Year End Review
Before we go home to our province and life gets busy again, I want to remember what 2016 has brought to me and my family (read my 2015 Year End Review here). I can say that this year was the best for us and I am looking forward to what 2017 has to offer. I know that God will make it “bongga” even more.
So let’s turn back time and remember the best of every month.
JANUARYย
This is myย husband’s and I birth month. I celebrated my 35th birthday at Buon Giorno Caffe and Bistro in Tagaytay, while we went to a simple family lunch at Alabang Town Center for his.
What special about this month is that we got ourselves a life insurance. We’re delaying it for years (which I regret), and finally we came to our senses and got one for each.
we started the year by applying to SunLife Flexilink Life Insurance
On January 2017, I’m planning to get Ren a Trust Fund naman so that he’ll have something to use for his future.
FEBRUARY
I bought tickets for our first overseas trip. My cousin who stayed with me while he’s still studying and finally got a nice job in Singapore invited us to go visit him there. My family loves staycations and visiting new places but going abroad is not our priority. We know that it will cost a lot. But my cousin, assured us not to worry when we’re there and just buy back and forth tickets. I got promo tickets from Cebu Pacific too. Ang saya!
MARCH
I removed climbing a mountain fromย my bucket list. My co-parents at my son’s school went to Mount Makulot in Batangas to do it. Unfortunately we were not able to finish the trail up to the highest peak because of the weather still I’m proud of myself for having the courage to try it. I’m not physically fit so imagine myself trying my best to reach the top ๐
I was not able to blog about it because I want to go back and finish the trail.
APRIL
I was invited to visit the house of US Ambassador to the Philippines Philip Goldberg at Forbes Park Makati for the Pulsesย event.
I had an exclusive event with my #KumareBloggers on this month too. Thanks to B&P All Day Breakfast Ortigas.

Plus, I was able to watch Les Miserables at Solaire Theater this month too. It was awesome!
MAY
Because it’s vacation already, I went to a lot of blogging events this month. We also treated my mom to a family lunch on Mother’s day.
I also got a lot of pampering this month haha. I was able to have a haircut at Salon Beauvoir in Somerset Makati and a luxurious facial at Luminisce in BGC.
JUNE
Ren was invited to a lot of toys related events, and on this month he was noticed by Nickelodeon.
It was Ren and I first time to stay and swim at Nobu Hotel this month too.
JULY
We finally decided to have our very own gate and extended kitchen. Ang mahal magpagawa, kaya lagi ‘tong delayed. We’re so happy we finally did it.
We also celebrated my mom’s birthday with the whole gang.
AUGUST
We visited Singapore finally!

We stayed for 4 days there.
When we returned, we celebrated Ren’s 9th birthday at school.
Plus my brother went home from abroad this month too.
SEPTEMBER
Ren and the whole football team from his school went to Ateneo to compete for soccer/football. We were surprised that they took home the 1st runners up medal.
OCTOBER
We had our first family staycation for the year, and it was just in Cavite – Mount Sea Resort.
NOVEMBER
I was contacted by PTV4 and they asked me to be included in their Christmas Station ID titled “Pasko Ng Buhayย Ko”
It’s not the first time I was interviewed for this Simbang Gabi topic, but it’s my first time to be in PTV4 and a station ID.
DECEMBER
We were contacted by Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho for Ren’s Amazing Toy channel. You see, this year was Ren’s YouTube channel first year anniversaryย and weย were surprised that he got this kind of attention especially that he was lined up together with big times toy reviewers.
We were so blessed this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you my dear readers who always visit my blog. My traffic increased by 50% this year and I tell you that’s huge compared to what I received 2 years ago.
This 2017, I promise to provide you with more mommy thoughts. I wish to inspire others through my life story since some people I personally know said that it’s inspiring. Whether it’s aboutย financial or living with a unique/special kid. I will also do more video blogging. I have a lot of things in mind to do right now. I failed to do a lot of personal things this year and I am hoping I’ll fulfill them this 2017.

What an amazing year you have!
Anyway, I’ve been to Maculot, it’s the only mountain I’ve been at, haha! I wish I have a chance to take my kids on a trek but the weather’s been unpredictable lately but it’s something I would really want them to do.
