When I Met Ms. Lea Salonga at the Ariel Instashine Musical Event
When my co-mommy bloggers/influencers and I were invited to the P&G office for the briefing of their latest product, Ariel Instashine, I got super kilig when I found out that their latest celebrity endorser is no other than Ms. Lea Salonga. The TVC was showed to us even before it was released on TV.
I’m a certified fan of Ms. Lea Salonga. I don’t buy magazines much, but if I see her on the cover, kahit ano pa yan, binibili ko. When I got a Philip Stein watch and at that time she was the endorser, I made a poster to look like her (kahit na sobrang layo ng itsura namin hahaha).
When she cut her hair, I also had a haircut (though not that short). I bought books that she recommends too. Alam nyo yun, in my simple way, basta kaya ko, feeling ko for doing that napapalapit ako sa kanya.
Kung yung mga kabataan ngayon, sobrang followers ng BTS, ako super fan talaga ako ni Ms.Lea.
I first saw her, with her family in a restaurant in Alabang. They were having a dinner at that time. I want to go to her to have a pic but it would be unethical if I did that because they were dining (nakakahiya di ba!).
I always check her concerts here, but the tickets sells so fast and well to be honest, they are quite expensive for me.
I thought that being a part of the Ariel campaign will give me a chance to see her, but unfortunately at that time, attending an event with her was not indicated in the project.
That’s why, imagine my delight and kilig when I received an invite to a Musical Journey with Lea Salonga. Tumalon talaga ako sa tuwa. I told the PR that I will make sure my schedule on that day is free, because I really want to see her in person. Hindi ako mahilig mag-event lalo na kung hapon na ang schedule, but for her, wala akong pake, pupunta talaga ako kahit gabi pa yan.
As per invite, we were asked to wear a cocktail dress in white or green. Syempre Ariel ang kulay. I went to Makati to search for one that will look good on me, pero grabe na dismaya ako ang dami kong napuntahan pero wala akong nahanap na perfect dress for me. Lahat ata ng stores na may dress napasok ko. Tatlong malls yung andon, lahat naikot ko.
Tapos tinignan ko sa SM Molino, grabe lumayo pa ako, e dito lang pala sa tabi tabi may makikita akong maayos.
Itong 2 ang pinagpilian ko and showed it to my friends via messenger.

After the program, she went inside and I was like, “Was that it?”. I’m a bit disappointed because I did not even able to get a picture with her. Although I kinda expected that already, that’s why I took this picture while she was on stage.
Then when we were about to go out, I took another one with the standee/board displayed outside na lang.
BUT, a miracle happened. She was at the door, getting an interview. I got excited! I went near them, and took this photo.
Para kahit wala kaming selfie, meron na akong picture na malapit with her. But I can’t leave, di ako makaalis at mawalan ng pag-asa. I waited, we all waited for the interview to finish and then I got the opportunity to have a selfie with her, finally!!!! My heart wanted to explode with joy.
I can’t thank Ariel Philippines enough for doing this musical event featuring their brand ambassador – Lea Salonga and for inviting me to be a part of it.
I discovered things I didn’t know about her just like, she also likes to wear neutral tones because you can easily dress up or dress down with it. She also likes wearing comfortable outfit for her to move freely and just do what she needs to do. The best thing I learned from her is that she is also a clothes repeater.
Repeating clothes wouldn’t be a problem if you could make it mukhang bago in just one wash. That’s why I highly recommend to use Ariel Instashine.

Fan din ako, very sophisticated sya and elegant. Nung bata ako wala ata sya role na mhirap ksi di bagay sa kanya kht dungisan sya.
