Quick and Easy Hainanese Chicken Recipe using Magnolia Whole Chicken
I consider myself not that good in the kitchen, but I’m learning now and I’m trying to cook real food for my family. Thanks to YouTube for being there since I’m a visual learner and I prefer to watch a step by step guide than reading the recipe.
As much as possible, I stay away from cooking red meat at the house. I only buy fish, vegetables and of course CHICKEN!
My husband and I want to build some muscles and protein is essential in having one, we prefer to get it from chicken. While looking for a new recipe to try in YouTube, I chanced upon Hainanese Chicken.
This dish is my son’s fave when we visited Singapore last year. He always order it in whatever restaurant we dined (except in Ikea).
I thought that this dish was hard to do, but after watching Erwan Heusaff doing it, I realized it’s easier than our local tinola dish. Plus it requires only a few ingredients. Ang saya!
You only need the following
I used Magnolia Whole chicken which was tagged as #PambansangManok, ito na kasi ang nakasanayang brand namin mula noon hanggang ngayon.
I don’t want to settle for anything else, that’s why I choose this chicken. I like their improved packaging that seals the freshness of the fresh chicken inside. Kaya namanΒ Panalo sa freshness, panalo sa lasa, at panalo sa quality!
Watch their latest commercial, ang mga beauty queens pinipili ang the best (ehem! haha)
I’m sure you’re all excited to know how an amateur in the kitchen cooked the Hainanese Chicken, so without further a do, I’m sharing to you my recipe π

Here’s the finish product
Pasado naman sa anak at asawa ko. Nasarapan sila, so I think I’ll include this dish in my weekly menu. It’s healthy, easy to do and affordable.
