Still Juicy After 15 Years: Orange Magazine’s Bold Media Journey
I’ve known Jessie Bunyi Villanueva, better known in the industry as Jeman since he started Orange Magazine PH in 2010. We both live in Molino, and back when neither of us had a car, we’d occasionally commute together after attending a blogging event. During those shared rides, we’d exchange stories, ideas, and random reflections about life and work. I still remember the moment we realized we went to the same high school.
If you don’t know Jeman personally, you might assume he’s a bit suplado or mataray ’cause he has that serious, no-nonsense aura. But once you get to know him, you’ll discover he’s genuinely thoughtful, kind, and creative. He’s the kind of person who quietly supports others and works tirelessly behind the scenes, something that clearly shows in what he’s built over the years.
Fast forward to today, Orange Magazine PH proudly marks a major milestone – 15 years of sharing stories, promoting talents, and staying ahead in the fast-paced world of digital media. Launched in July 2010, Orange Magazine has grown from Jeman’s personal dream into one of the country’s most recognized independent platforms for entertainment, lifestyle, and pop culture.
It was my first time joining his anniversary event, and I’m thankful to have been part of the celebration.

A Dream in Full Color
Before launching Orange Magazine, Jeman worked as a tabloid correspondent and promotions coordinator in the print world. But he dreamed of having a platform where he could feature the stories he truly cared about without limitations.
“I’ve always wanted to have my own magazine where I can publish what I want, when I want,” Jeman once shared.
The name “Orange” wasn’t chosen at random—it symbolizes freshness, truth, and new beginnings. Just like the color of dawn, Orange Magazine has become a go-to source for what’s current and relevant, from fashion and music to lifestyle and advocacy.
Going digital was a bold move at the time, but it proved to be the right one.
“Since online is the new media, I knew it would be easier to reach people and attract brands and readers,” Jeman said. “With social media, you can spread content quickly, and stay connected with your audience in real time.”
From day one, the magazine steered clear of explicit content, making it a platform even teens and families could enjoy. That decision was not just strategic, but rooted in integrity.
15 Years of Big Names and Bigger Impact
Orange Magazine gained traction fast, landing exclusive features with both local and international stars—Jay Park, Westlife, Bruno Mars, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Melanie C (Sporty Spice), just to name a few. Local icons like Christian Bautista, Anne Curtis, Gloc-9, Glaiza De Castro, The Itchyworms, and Beautederm’s Rea Anicoche Tan also graced its digital pages.
The magazine’s digital footprint is just as impressive:
- 7.3 million reach on Facebook
- 3.8 million on TikTok
- 1.8 million on Instagram
- Over 41 million views on YouTube
These numbers reflect not just reach—but trust and loyalty.
Team Orange: A Community Built on Collaboration
While Jeman is the heart of Orange Magazine, the success of the platform also comes from a collaborative, dynamic team—a close-knit community of contributors, creators, and industry friends.
Kister Morata, a content creator turned business partner, shared:
“I started out just covering their events. Now, I’ve worked with dream brands and even traveled abroad—thanks to Orange Magazine. It’s truly been a blessing.”
Sharmaine Rodriguez, another team member, added:
“The energy here is inspiring. I’ve always felt empowered to bring in new ideas and help shape content that really connects with readers.”
A Celebration to Remember
On July 1, 2025, Orange Magazine celebrated its 15th year with a fun-filled event at Timezone, Ayala Malls Feliz. It was more than just a party—it was a reunion of bloggers, vloggers, content creators, and collaborators who have supported the platform throughout the years.

There were games, prizes, and endless photo ops—everything you’d expect from a brand that’s all about keeping things fresh, fun, and relevant. The event also sparked new partnerships and connections, staying true to the Orange spirit of collaboration and community.
Looking Ahead
Fifteen years later, Orange Magazine continues to evolve while staying rooted in its founding values—freshness, truth, and relevance. With Jeman at the helm and Team Orange always on the lookout for new formats, stories, and ideas, the platform is set to remain a trailblazer in the digital media space.

Here’s to more milestones, deeper connections, and even bigger stories in the years ahead.
Happy 15th, Orange Magazine PH—and congrats, Jeman! 🍊
