Together We Run: EastWest Ends Anniversary Celebration with a Colorful Dream Run Finale in Alabang

The Filinvest Event Grounds in Alabang came alive last Sunday as over 6,000 runners gathered for the EastWest Dream Run 2025, the grand finale to the Bank’s 30th anniversary and the Filinvest Group’s 70th milestone year.

My son and I joined the 5KM race category, and despite a little challenge with parking—we arrived early only to find the designated areas still closed—we were fortunate to find a spot at Crimson Hotel, just in time. We had about 30 minutes to spare before the gun start, which gave us enough time to warm up and take in the festive atmosphere. I’m glad we left the house early!

This wasn’t just a race—it felt like a celebration of dreams in motion. Runners of all ages and fitness levels took part, from pet lovers joining the 1K Dog Run to endurance athletes facing the 30K Dream Challenge.

EastWest’s very own founders were present, with Filinvest Chairman Jonathan Gotianun joining the run alongside EastWest executives, employees, partners, and loyal customers. As EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo shared, “It was an initiative that united thousands… Manila showed up with its whole heart.”

The energy after crossing the finish line was just as vibrant. The event area transformed into a mini weekend fair, with interactive booths, live music, and freebies. Runners, including us, were treated to free taho and local sorbetes, and a Zumba session kept the crowd pumped even after the race. It was refreshing and fun—a nice reward after completing 5KM under the sun.

Loot bags were packed with goodies from Gatorade, Monde Nuvi, Salonpas, Gumtect, Chlorelief, Park Access, Rexona, and exclusive EastWest items. There were also booths from sponsors like Filinvest Land Inc., Filinvest City, Crimson Alabang, Galinco, Mogu Mogu, Surge Fitness + Lifestyle, and WeTake Wellness, offering games, product samples, and engaging experiences.

The highlight for many was the beautifully designed Dreamcatcher medal that each finisher received—a symbolic reminder of EastWest’s tagline: Your Dream, Our Focus. It wasn’t just a medal, but a meaningful token that celebrated every runner’s effort and personal milestones.

To top it off, top finishers from each race category were recognized on stage, rounding out what truly was a morning of movement, community, and inspiration.

For our family, the EastWest Dream Run wasn’t just another event—it was a chance to bond, move, and be part of a bigger celebration of dreams, determination, and togetherness.
