I finally met Aga at the 20th Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko
It was a busy week for me and my son because it’s his 2nd Grading Final Exams. It is 30% of the total grades so I was busy doing reviewers and preparing him. That is why this post is just now.
Anyway, last week Jollibee launched their 20th Maaga ang Pasko in Canlubang Laguna. Jollibee and their PR is one of the companies I love that even though the event was on Sunday, I went out and joined them. This event is also for a great cause that I wanted to be part of just like last year.
I was not expecting Aga Muhlach to be there actually, he was the original Toy scout who started this and with his busy schedule I was glad he had time to go to the launching. I can’t get a better picture of him while he was in front singing with the Lumen Anima Chorale but at the presscon, he told us the story about how this campaign have started.
He said that he likes to share his blessing with kids while he was still doing “Okidokidok”, but he thought that he can’t do it alone. Since he was an endorser of Jollibee at that time, he said that Jollibee is the best medium that will help him with the project and he was right, and the rest as they say is history.
If you have no idea what is the campaign Maaga ang Pasko is all about, here are some facts about it:
- It is considered the country’s longest-running toy and book collection drive.
- The nationwide drive has already collected over 2 million toys.
- Maaga ang Pasko has been committed to spreading smiles and Christmas cheer for thousands of children with gifts of books and toys from kind-hearted individuals and families alike.
- The campaign has grown to be a tradition that Jolly Family Toy Scouts from all over the country look forward to each year.
