Lifeline 16911 Overview
I am saddened that most of the ambulances I see around our area looks old and do not have medical equipment inside to help the person in need as he/she is being transferred to the hospital.Β It looks like it’s just a simple transportation with a siren on it.
If you have watched Greys Anatomy, you’ll know that before the person arrives at the emergency room, they were treated well (with first aid) inside the ambulance already and the medics just transfer all the details concerning the patients to the doctor upon arrival.
Why am I interested about this thing? Well, a few months ago our neighbor had an heart attack in the wee hours. They don’t have a car and he’s just with a guest (who is not that familiar with our place and the neighborhood). We woke up when we heard the guards going to their place. Since it will take some time to call the barangay’s ambulance and our subdivision doesn’t have one, a public shuttle was used to transport the patient to the hospital.
Unfortunately because of the slow turnover of events, the patient was declared dead on arrival at the hospital π
My husband and I can’t sleep that day because of that incident. And because we too doesn’t have a car yet we get nervous that if something bad happens to us (knock on wood), it would be hard to get a ride to the hospital. Plus we would like to be treated immediately while on the way.
With that in mind, I did some research and found thisΒ Lifeline 16911 service
