I love mother earth!
Thankfully hubby and I had a little extra time to clean the entire house last month. We got rid of some clutter and throned away a lot of junk items. I did all the wiping and dust removal, while hubby did the re arrangements of furniture, books and some boxes.
After doing the general cleaning, I realized that the house will look fresh and clean if we will make it eco-friendly. Well, we need to reconstruct the whole house to do this since we are living in a compound and we only have a few windows to let the natural air and light flow.
But this didn’t made me stop getting what I wanted. I know I still can make the house eco friendly without spending too much. I started with changing the incandescent light bulbs to energy-efficient compact fluorescents. I also bought a lot of different plants in pots and I had placed them in our window and in front of the house for us to breath some fresh air.
I also bought a plastic container (just like the one you see in supermarkets) that I will use every time I go to the wet market nearby, this way, the use of plastic bag will be minimized. I am also using a decorated sack bag every time I go to Divisoria to buy school supplies for my mini store and some RTW.
I am planning to buy cloth diapers for my son too, these could help decrease the spoiled diapers in our landfills, and I even plan to look for cloth napkins or even do one for me that I can use every month during my menstrual period. Well, I am a stay at home mom so this will not be a problem for me.
If the majority of the people will do the same thing we will surely make our planet happy.
I just wish we will win the lottery to have money to reconstruct the house or better have a new house that is already designed to be eco friendly.
what ever happens in life we should always remember to live life to the fullest
