Review: Hotel Benito, Hong Kong, Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui

As I have mentioned in my previous post, we were supposed to stay at Beverly Guest House in Chungking Mansion in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon Hongkong. I am glad that it was refundable. I chose this hotel for that reason and because it’s quite affordable. But because of the protest happening in HK and because I heard rumors that Chungking Mansion is not a safe place, I decided to cancel my booking and look for another place safer and better.

A co-mommy blogger (hello! R0ckstarmomma.com) went to HK a few weeks before us and I asked her where did they stay. She mentioned Hotel Benito. I also asked my friend Badet of TheMisisChronicles.com who is a frequent traveler to Hongkong and she mentioned that Hotel Benito is a nice option.

This hotel’s rating in Trivago is also high.

We booked 2 rooms during our stay. For my sister and her friend, they’ve got 1 double bed room and for our family we had a room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed.

We were too tired from our Disneyland trip that’s why I’m thankful that this hotel is near to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. It’s not that hard to find it.

Here’s what our room looks like:

Our room size is18 sqm. Compared to other middle ranged hotels, this is just the perfect size for us. They provided complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. There’s also a mini refrigerator.

The bathroom is clean and they have the usual amenities such us clean towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, bath soap, shampoo/conditioner and body wash.

The WIFI is also fast in our room.

We have a City view from our room in the 4th floor. I had fun watching the passers by at night time (stores close at 11pm) and I noticed that Hongkongers start their things late in the morning (perhaps around 9am).

I was surprised to see this old guy in the morning, picking up garbage and putting it in his cart.

On our last day at the hotel, we decided to visit Mongkok in the morning first. But we were not sure if we could return before the check-out time of 12nn so we just left our baggage in the reception area and returned to pick it up.

Overall, we had a nice stay in this hotel. If ever we will go back to Hongkong, I will still choose to stay here. I recommend it.
