SSS Text Inquiry: Get Status of your Contributions and Loan via SMS

The other day, I went to SSS Alabang to check my loan balance because I wanted to pay the whole amount already. If you can still remember, I had a loan from SSS last 2012 and I availed their condonation program last year. This year, they are offering their condonation program once again until the end of this month – September 2018.

As of this writing, you still have 10 days to go to avail this deal.

I think this is the reason why there were a lot of inquiries and customers when I arrived at their office the other day.  I already waited for 30 minutes and I was still far from the customer service representative. It’s a good thing I saw this poster – SSS Text Service

Since I only need to know my total loan balance, I thought that this text service can help me get it easily. And I was right, I simply followed the steps and voila! I got the amount I needed in just a few minutes. I asked the Bayad Center inside the SSS if the amount mentioned to me was right and she said yes, so I paid for it. In less than 10 minutes, I’m done.

Here’s the Instruction on How to Use SSS Text Service

To register, text SSS REG (space) SSS NUMBER (space) Birthday mm/dd/year
Example: SSS REG 031234567 01/01/80

Then send to 2600 for Globe, Smart and Sun Cellular subscribers. All keywords must be sent to 2600. You will be charged P2.50 per text for Globe and Smart Subscribers. P2.00 for Sun Cellular Subscribers. Rates may change without prior notice.

You will receive a message from 2600 containing your PIN. After you have received the text confirmation, you may now use the SSS Text Services. Save your PIN because you will use it on your later SSS Text Service Transaction.

To know your SSS Contribution, text SSS CONTRIB then send to 2600.
Example: SSS CONTRIB 031234567 2266

To submit your Maternity Notification (for Self Employed and voluntary members), text SSS MATERNITYNOTIF then send to 2600.

To check your Loan Application Status, text SSS LOANSTAT then send to 2600.

To check your Remaining loan balance, text SSS LOANBAL then send to 2600.

You may also check the status of your Benefit Application by using the following keyword.

If you have forgotten your PIN, you can always reset it via text inquiry service.

Just text SSS RESET then send to 2600.
