GelatoFix Lifestyle Cafe in BGC Overview
A few days ago, after bringing Ren to school, I went all the way to BGC to visit this Lifestyle cafe called GelatoFix. As I walked out of the bus I noticed that it was too hot that day, which made me even more excited to reach my destination as fast as I can.
GelatoFix Lifestyle Cafe is renowned for its over the top gelato creations and exquisite cuisine created by award-winning chefs, Gelato World Cup Champion, Master Chef Filippo Novelli and Gelatofix Master Chef David Chang.
The philosophy of Gelatofix is to give everyone a place where they can ‘hang their hats’ which is an Italian way of saying, ‘take a break’. They are known for having the smoothest and creamiest Italian gelato and for their first class and exquisite gelato gourmets from piatti (in plates), coppe (in cups), toasts and cakes. Plus they only use the most natural ingredients, prepared via a process that is both masterful and artisanal.
But besides Gelato, they also offer other dishes in their menu. They also serves nutritious gourmet salads, rich-flavored soups, lavish mains, and to-die for beverages. For the health-conscious, there’s the Italian-inspired gourmet salads that balances off the greens with fruits and dressing, topped with a creamy scoop of Fior di Latte gelato. If you want something unique for an entrée, try the pasta selection with Portobello mushrooms, crunchy prawns, succulent squids and juicy parma ham. And for those who are looking for local flavors, Gelatofix provides an array of the best and locally curated Filipino-inspired dishes.
During my visit, I have tried the following dishes:
This is Risotto Al Funghi P325. It is consists of fresh shiitake and button mushrooms.
This is Spaghetti Prawn Apricot P325. This is my favorite among all the dishes served to us because I love prawns. It has creamy apricot tomato sauce too.
This is called Big Bird Platter P525. The honey and gravy dip is perfect for this golden fried boneless chicken. It is served with fries and corn on the side.
This is Braised Lamb Shank, P725. It’s slow cooked lamb shank topped with brown sauce and gremolata. The mashed potato on the side is a perfect partner to this awesome dish.
Another fave of mine, Carne Asada P355. It has Taco, ground beef, tortilla and lettuce.
They said that five new Gelatofix outlets will be added over the next 12 months in Metro Manila so more people will have the ‘fix’ they need, whenever and wherever they crave for it. I hope the Alabang area is one of them because it is nearer from our place.
I can’t wait to bring my boys here. I’m pretty sure they will enjoy their mouthwatering dishes just like I did.
