3 Tips to Sanitize the Toilet
After our kitchen renovation, the next plan for us is to have our bathroom renovated too. The developer of our subdivision used white tiles that easily turns yellow after a while. It’s so hard for me to clean them up and make them pearly white again. So, the only solution my husband and I were thinking of is to change all the tiles.
With regards to the toilet, well ours is still okay, but I prefer one that do not expose the skeleton (as what others call the part under the flash area). Mas madali kasing linisin kapag hindi exposed.
We don’t have a house helper and my husband doesn’t know how to clean the bathroom, so it’s my full responsibility to do it.
3 Tips to Sanitize the Toilet
For new homemakers out there, cleaning the toilet is easy as sipping a cup of coffee (parang di bagay sa usapan haha). Yes it looks hard, but if you have the right tools and disinfectant then it will be easy.
Here are the only things that you need: scrub for the floor and toilet / rubber gloves / hot water / special cleaning agent
1. Use a dedicated pair of rubber gloves to clean your toilet. We poop and pee on the toilet so it’s a haven for bacteria. You don’t want to use bare hands when cleaning it right? Just make sure that after using keep these gloves separate from your kitchen and garden gloves. It’s advisable to label them and put them in a secluded area or buy different colors for each gloves.
2. Loosen up dirt by splashing some hot water first. Splash some around the tank, lid, seat, base, and exterior of the bowl.
3. Use a special cleaning agent like DOMEX.
I attended the Domex event yesterday at The Mess Hall in Makati so I learned a lot from it.
It was hosted by Ms. Rica Paralejo-Bonifacio
At the event, we were told that it is not enough to see a sparkling clean and smelling good bathroom, it is better to use a special agent that is tested to eliminate a wide range of germs thoroughly. Domex can kill various fungi, bacteria and viruses fro a 99.9% germ free toilet.
This is an example on how effective Domex is compared to other cleaning agents. It’s thick enough to remove stains and germs even without scrubbing it yet.
They put a drop of each these cleaning agents, the one on the right was the one with Domex on it.
Domex works has triple action because it thoroughly cleanses, has effective contact time (which last up t0 7 flushes) and is able to access hard-to-reach areas inside our toilet.
This #WorldToiletDay let’s join the movement for #1MCleanToilets and let’s start this practice in our own home.
