My 7 Goals this 2016
I consider 2015 as one of the best years we had as a family. At the start of the year, I prayed hard that my husband will have a better paying job that will let him sleep with us at night. For how many years he was not able to do it because his work needs him to be awake late at night until morning. And it was granted last May. The catch, he always gets his salary late haha. Still I’m thankful for an answered prayer.
If you’ve seen my post about the Year that was 2015, you’ll see also that we’ve had a lot of staycation last year. I guess, 2015 was a good year despite little problems along the way.
This 2016, I just want to do more of these things:
It’s been 5 years that I’m not using any credit cards (weeee!!!). I had more than 5 credit cards before and now I’m so happy that I’m finally free from being their slave.
Now, I can focus to save more. Save for emergency fund, save for health and life insurance, save for travel and save for a brand new car (kahit gano pa katagal wooohoooo). I commit to do the 52 Week Money Challenge this year.
MOVE, MOVE and MOVE
I tend to sit most of the time in front of my laptop or on the couch with my phone (playing candy crush haha #latebloomer). So this 2016, I will not promise to go to the gym or do a hard work out because I know I would not be able to fulfill it. To simplify, I will just use the word “MOVE more”.
DRINK MORE WATER
To avoid sickness, I will try my best to eat clean. Unfortunately clean food are more expensive. The easiest way to cleanse your body that will not break your wallet is drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday.
SLEEP EARLY
Ren thinks that he has a nocturnal family. So to make it right, this year I will do my best to make everybody fall asleep as early as 10PM.
READ MORE BOOKS
I love reading inspirational and self improvement books. I’m looking forward to get a hand on more books this year.
DO HOUSEHOLD CHORES OFTEN
I am more relaxed if our home is clean and mess free (if only I am a fairy I can just swish and swoosh my wand to make it happen everyday). the truth, I haven’t done cleaning the entire house yet but I’m hoping to do it before the Chinese New Year and maintain the cleanliness as long as I can. May the force be with me.
INSPIRE OTHERS
I don’t know how to do it yet, but I am hoping to share more stories with you on how I will/became debt free. How we were able to reach our dreams of owning a new house and soon a brand new car. How I manage and help my son to be the best person he can be and how I support my husband to reach his goals (whatever they are).
That’s it. I’ve made it so simple and feasible to do. How about you dearies, what are the things you want to do or do more this 2016? Share it with me.
