5 Reasons Why I love Ceramic Pans
My iron cast pan is now too old and need replacement. When we were still in Manila, we were using a Teflon pan, but I learned that when Teflon surfaces break down, it can end up in your food and when heated to high temperatures, it emit fumes that may cause cancer. Scary!
Ceramic pans are widely considered to be the safest and most environmentally friendly option.
So, I’ve purchased my first set of Ceramic pans at Yilinker. They are cheaper than the ones in the market and since it’s my first time, I decided to get it to try.
I bought the 5 pieces set (3 pcs. pan that have different sizes plus 2 glass cover. kaya 5 daw). Upon, trying it out, here are some of the reasons why I like it.
Easy To Clean
Even a piece of tissue can wipe the dirt away. Because of that I think you can use one pot to cook a dish after the other immediately.
Non Stick
I love using it for cooking egg or pancake.
No need to use Oil
It will not only save you from buying oil, but most importantly you’ll cook healthier food because you don’t need to add oil on it. I tried to cook Salmon belly on it and the oil here came from the fish itself.
Non Toxic
Ceramic pans are made without perfluorooctanoic acid, known as PFOA, the potentially toxic chemical used in the manufacture of coatings for nonstick pans such as Teflon.
Maybe one of the disadvantages of ceramic pan is that they are more expensive than other non stick variants.
I will try to check Lock and Lock cookwares next time because I am more familiar with this brand than this one that I got.
I also bought a ceramic knives set at Yilinker and I love it too.
I already cut my fingers many times because of it haha.
Ceramic blades stay sharp 10x longer than steel. No need to sharpen the blades. The materials that make up a ceramic blade is very hard. It’s the second hardest material, right after diamonds. After it has been sharpened, it can keep its razor sharp edge and will not wear out.

Hello. I just chanced upon your blog and got interested about ceramic pans. My wife has been using teflon pans and usually have to buy new ones every year. I read that you bought them at Yilinker; so I googled the site and found this 5 piece set for P725. Is this the same one you got for yourself? I’d like to buy them for my wife. Thanks a lot.

yes that’s the same. But still I suggest you get a ceramic pan from trusted brands like Lock N Lock. Triny ko lang dito, but I’m planning to change it soon.
