Why not try Archery lessons this summer vacation?
The first time I saw how cool archery is, was when I became an avid fan of Legolas of The Lord of The Ring. At first I thought that I just liked how Orlando Bloom looked like at the movie (I like clean looking guys) but when Daryl showed up at the Walking Dead (dirty looking and yeah I can’t deny that he’s sexy as well) then I realized that it’s not the look of the person that I like but instead the way they fought and that is by using a bow and arrows.
Archery is a good sports for kids as young as 8 years old who can already follow simple directions. It is a great sport for teaching children self-control, patience, and emotional intelligence. Archery can also help kids to focus because this sport will teach them to concentrate deeply. It will also help them improve their hand-eye coordination. Archery is a wonderful sport to strengthen your upper body and toning your arms and shoulders.
There are only 4 Archery centers at the Philippines that I know as of the moment. One of these centers is the Manila Archery which is managed and owned by Ren’s godfather – Mr. Jeff Tsang. He started Manila Archery last year 2010 at Malayan High School of Science, and they have already partnered with other schools.
Some of their clients have already joined the Palarong Pambansa and they are doing great. They also went to Thailand to compete and according to Jeff, with proper training supervised by a trained instructor, you don’t have to be a national athlete to compete in other countries.
Archery can be a great sport for your child, it can also a nice bonding moment if you want to try it for yourself too.
If you are interested and want to know more about Manila Archery, leave a message at their FB page https://www.facebook.com/ManilaArcheryCenter

I’ve tried this one when we were in Plantation Bay and to be honest, it’s too tiring. The bow and arrow are too heavy for my built.

Archery is an interesting sport! I think Ykaie would also aspire for a class if she finds out there is one.

I’ve seen my college classmates enroll in Archery class for their Physical Education subject. I never thought of this sports before and heard that the first days will be painful. The arm will be bruised because of the bow’s movement.
