Ren’s First Grading Progress Report is here
Today we went to Ren’s school to attend the one on one Parent’s Teacher Assembly. Each student was allotted approximately 1 hour to address to the parents each students progress and concerns. A day before meeting, I felt very nervous on what is the feedback about Ren (which I don’t know why). I even had a bad dream about it hahaha.
Anyway, Noel and I were very happy that the little boy’s progress report consists mostly of O’s (95-99%),VG’s (90-94%) and a few G’s (85-89%).
I was surprised that the report is very different from the traditional report card wherein it consists of different subjects (like English, Math, Science etc). The school report was written in a short bond paper (3 pages) which consists of a detailed report about:
- Self Awareness and Expression
- Social Adjustment and Growth
- Awareness of Others
- Reading Readiness and Advancement
- Motor Skills Development
So, this is what a Progressive School report looks like. I forgot to ask his ranking in his class but I am sure that he is included in the Top 10 because there are only 8 of them in the class, hahaha.
The head teachers and his adviser explained to me what are the areas that Ren excels and those in which he needs to improve more.
I need to pat my back (as well as my husband) because I know we’ve been a part of this big development of our son. And also a big thumbs up for Ren for a job well done. Yes it’s just the beginning but we believe and have faith that Ren can make it through the years. We (his parents, his OT, SP, Teachers) will make sure of that.
