Nestle Choose Wellness Expo Overview
Last July 13 and 14, SM Megamall MegaTrade Hall was jam-packed by people who wanted to take a peek of what Nestle Choose Wellness Expo has in store for them. As early as 10AM, the line that consist of family and friends were already long.
The press conference was held on the first day of the event. The theme of the Expo is “Achieving wellness through a balance of good nutrition and proper physical activity”.
I remembered when I was still working in one of the major supermarkets in the country, Nestle partnered with supermarkets to spread Wellness Awareness by doing some activities at stores which includes food samplings, free health check-ups, advices and tips to be fit. They are doing it for almost 6 years now, and they didn’t stopped doing it even up to now, Kudos to Nestle.
The Choose Welness Expo is a major initiative to share practical nutrition and fitness information, while demonstrating what the benefits of Nestle brands provide consumers striving for wellness. The brands include: Nescafe Classic, Coffee-Mate, Nido, Milo, Bear Brand, Nestea, Maggi, Nestle Low and Non Fat Milk, Nestle Fitnesse, Nestle Fruit Selection Yogurt and Nestle Acti-V.
This was my first time to see the Nestle Expo at Megatrade Hall. The event was made more special by Nestle through interactive games and booths featuring various Nestle products. Special prizes, giveaways and an Expo souvenir were provided to all visitors. They also provide lots of food samples, di ka magugutom sa loob, I swear!!!!
The Presscon was headed by Ms, Sandra Puno (Nestle Philippines director of communications), Ms. Leslie Go-Alcantara (Corporate Wellness head of Nestle Philippines), Ms. Tweetie de Leon (Celebrity Mom, Entrepreneur and Endorser of Nestle Wellness) and also Fitness Coach Jim Saret.
Coach Jim Saret talked about how we can exercise besides our busy schedule with just 4-minute of our time. This exercise is not new to me because co-blogger Pehpot did this and was able to lose some weight. It can burn up to 600 calories. Read more about this exercise HERE
Ms. Tweetie de Leon who didn’t look like she is already at the age of 40 told the press that she make sure to exercise everyday, and that she treat it seriously. But she discouraged the diet fab that eliminates the take of Carbohydrates. She said that our body needs fuel and that is why we need Carbo. But we should make sure to limit it because too much in-take of carbohydrates is not also good for our bodies.
