Ways to treat the man of the house this Father’s day
Father’s day will be celebrated on June 16, and it’s exactly 10 days from now before that special day. I am now thinking of what to give to my husband. I have read the book “Men are from mars,Women are from Venus” by John Gray, and I learned a lot from that book. Well, unfortunately, I don’t do those lessons sometimes.
Let’s get to know them first to help us find the best gift.
According to the book, man has an instinctual need to pull back from a relationship from time to time — to feel his independence and autonomy again. I think this means giving him time to be alone and do the things that he likes to do. My husband is different from other guys that I knew, he doesn’t like going out of the house. I am the one who is pushing him to go out once in a while and have a “me” time or hang out with his friends, but it seems that he feels happy staying at home and doing his online jobs more. Well, sometimes I caught him playing Maple Story or watching his favorite 80’s cartoons, so I think this is his way of pulling back.
Men also like to be appreciated. They like it when you praise them even when they did just a small or simple things for you. I’ve read from Bo Sanchez’s book that to have a great marriage, woman you need to praise your spouse and your children seven times a day, stop criticizing. It’s hard sometimes, I know!!!
Another thing, they also like to feel that you need them. It increases their ego and that it makes them feel that they are in charge.
With these things in mind, I want to give him something that will make him feel appreciated, needed and something that will make him feel relaxed.
And because I am also a busy mom, my first step on looking for a gift is online. My first stop was the Zalora Catalog. And I was stuck at the gadgets and watches categories hahaha.
They have also said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so maybe I will check out some restaurants nearby for this special day. Or maybe a staycation to any Hotel or a massage he truly deserves.
Okay, I know my man well and I think he will be happy on whatever things that I will give him be it small or big. How about you, what are your plans for your father or husband this Father’s day?

Fathers day is coming and I don’t know yet what to give my loving hubby. Just lie your hubby, mine also loves to stay home instead of going out hang with friends. Yes, praising them makes them happy and feel love.

I’ve already planned something for my husband on Father’s day. The family will be having a dinner at Flapjack’s at Robinson’s Place, Manila. On that note, you may want to join my contest, and maybe win a dinner for your husband too.

My hubby is also like that! He loves staying at home and rarely goes out to town on his own 😀 not sure what to get him for father’s day but maybe I’ll buy him a shirt 🙂

no plans at all as most of the times we usually eat outside since it is more cheaper for us with no required cooking too. it is indeed very hard to find a gift for men haha. Card for my husband or personal massage maybe? hahaha and a cupcake.

I still don’t have any plans for father’s day but I think the best gift we could ever give the man in our house is to make him feel loved and appreciated even in simple ways. 🙂

Nice idea this coming Father’s Day. I agree, husband in particular loves being appreciated . Pero me, kahit walang gift oks na. The thoughts counts.
