Velcro shoes for toddler!
Last year, since I found out that Ren has a developmental delay (speech delay) my husband and I decided to enroll him for an Occupational Theraphy session twice a week as per advice of his Developmental Pediatrician. This is for early intervention of whatever is wrong of his delay so that he can catch up with the other children his age developmental milestones. I bought him a new bag, polo and a pair of shoes.
Since I have observed that his feet grows really fast, which by the way, he gets from our side of the family, I thought that buying him ordinary rubber shoes will do. But unfortunately, when his teacher (therapist) saw his rubber shoes he told me that shoes with laces is not yet advisable for a very young kid since it is still hard on his part to learn how to lace his shoes right. Therefore, he advised me that it is better if Ren will wear school shoes or sandals with Velcro and not with lace.
Good thing that I saw a great deal in one of the seller of pre-loved items in Facebook. She is selling her son’s Osh Kosh B’gosh school shoes for a very affordable price. Since the size indicated in the item description matched with Ren’s feet when I measured it, I excitedly bought it. When the item arrived, I was surprised that it’s still too big for Ren.Β I taught that since I measured Ren’s feet using just a ruler maybe I got it wrong.
I thought I have saved a lot from purchasing the shoe, but since it doesn’t fit his feet yet, I need to buy him another one.Β This time, I already brought him along with me so that he can fit the shoes right away.
