There is a rainbow after the rain!

While I am writing this post I am teary eyed, I can’t believe that my husband has won on the latest contest at Foldees.com.  It’s not that I doubted he would win because his work is bad, but it’s because there are so many good cards included in the contest which was submitted by different artists all over the world (if I am not mistaken its 80 cards all in all). I am very proud of my husband and I am very lucky I married this one of a kind guy.  I love him so much! 

We are not hit bad by the recent typhoon “Ondoy” (we’re thankful for that) compared to our brothers and sisters in Marikina, Quezon City, and Pampanga but our house really needs repair, the roof is leaking, the walls has lost it’s paint and we need to make the floor higher so that if ever there will be another flood it will no longer come inside our house.  We have used our credit card to purchase goods, after typhoon ‘Ondoy” because the news said that there was another Super typhoon coming and that we need to prepare and now I need to pay it back to avoid charges.

Noel’s sideline in Odesk was becoming scarce, and the bills are already pilling up.  He did not received work for almost a month and his salary is really not enough to make ends meet.  So, this good news is really a blessing.  I can’t explain how thankful I am right now.

When my husband called me a while ago I screamed over the phone.  My son and I kept on jumping and shouting and laughing over and over again.  We just stopped when I noticed that our old neighbor is looking at us from their gate.  LOL!  We rushed to the church near us, and we went to the adoration chapel to Thank God for the early Christmas gift we have received.

Of course, I will not forget what I promised that I will give 10% or $100 to one Lucky Voter who helped Noel win in this contest.  I will make the announcement of the winner when we have  already received the prize; I will use random.org to pick for the winner.
