DIY Negan Costume from The Walking Dead
As far as I know, Halloween parties was not part of the Pinoy culture 20 or more years ago. Β But now, its getting it’s popularity here. A lot of businesses are taking advantage of this event for kids.
We let Ren join this event because we want him to socialize with other kids, learn to ask for treats (more on learn to talk when he was younger) and of course this is our opportunity to be creative in making a DIY costume for him.
Here are some of Ren’s Halloween Costume in the past years.
2010 – 2012 :Β http://mommylevy.com/2012/10/lessons-i-learned-from-past-halloween-events.html
2013 : Russel Costume from UP movie
2014 : Mutant Costume
2015 : did not join because Ren was sick
This year, we only joined the Nickelodeon Takotown Freight Express event at SM Megamall. We were not able to join any other Halloween trick or treat event because of his schedule at school.
Since the location is quiet far from where we reside, we decided to make an easy and casual costume for this event. It’s hard to commute if we will bring a lot of things.
DIY Negan Costume
Because The Walking Dead TV series is back, Noel and I thought of a Negan costume for Ren. It’s quite simple and the things needed are already available at the house.
You only need a jacket (black leather jacket is advisable, but we don’t have one so we just let Ren wore his denim jacket), a red handkerchief or scarf (I bought one in SM Dept. Store). This Armando Caruso scarf is only P79.75), a bat (this Lucille bat was made by his dad using a cartolina and just drew the barbed wires using white paint and red paint for the blood effects.
We also made a zombie head. You can download the template here –Β oh-sheet.com
Here is Ren wearing the costume
We were not able to do trick or treating at the event, but he joined a contest and to my surprise he won π
We were so hungry after this event, so we headed to the SM Mega Food Haul.
Isn’t this costume so easy? friendly on the pocket, easy to do and wear too!

Spooky cool costumes. We are a Walking Dead family. We’ve watched every episode to date and the kids would love to dress in a Negan costume.

I think I am one of the only people in America who has no idea what the Walking Dead is about. I’m not into scary things so I don’t know if this costume is up my alley. I’m sure it was a hit on Halloween, though!
