Mommy Event by Anchor Milk
The other day, I went to the Forbes Town at BGC to attend an intimate event for mommies hosted by Anchor Milk. We have tried Anchor milk when they’ve sent a gift to our house and we love the taste of it, that’s why it was not hard for me to say yes to their invite.
However, I was not expecting that it would be just a small group of mommy bloggers plus the Fonterra team. Okay here’s a little secret about me, I am not comfortable talking with people I barely know, that’s why a round table event creeps me out. If I had known that it would be a small get together, perhaps I would have declined hahaha.Β Β BUT, I’m glad I didn’t because I learned a lot from the said event.
We started the discussion by getting to know each other and by answering a question that they have prepared. Gosh! I did not sign up for an impromptu Q&A like this (that’s why I have high respect to beauty contestants that can answer questions fluently haha).
The question I got was, What did my mom taught me about motherhood? There are a lot of possible answers to this, but what I told them was that my mom told me to just do your best and work hard to achieve whatever you want to have. I don’t know if I told it the same way as I typed it now, but that’s what I remembered that I said.
Anyway after that,Β we talked about how important our kid’s nutrition is for us moms. This time, anyone is free to answer it. I told them that we did Bento lunchboxes for my son at school before. This way we could incorporate proper nutrition because his baon usually consists of meat, vegetable, fruits and healthy drink like yogurt or milk. He’s not a picky eater so we did not have a problem on giving him food to eat.
Some moms said that they make sure to add pieces of vegetables in their kid’s food. One example is putting chopped carrots in spaghetti without him/her knowing that it was there. Another mom said a different thing, she said that she always tell her son what she put in his food to encourage him to try it more.
In this discussion, I have noticed that moms really need to know their own kids to come up with a solution to their dilemma. One problem can have various ways to solve it. π
Then we talked about how important drinking milk is in one’s diet. Since most Filipinos are not raised to drink milk as we grow up, I learned that we are actually missing a lot of nutrition that we could get from it.
Plus, Fonterra’s resident nutritionist taught us how to choose the right milk to buy. She said that the lesser the ingredients/additives (besides milk) the better.
Anchor milk products are naturally rich in disease-fighting antioxidants. They are produced from 100% grass-fed cows living in lush green farms. Having less fillers means that calcium is more bioavailable β that means calcium may be more easily absorbed vs. other milk products which contain less natural dairy. Lastly, whole milk provides high-quality protein which has all essential amino acids for faster growth and development.
You can choose from a variety of Anchor milk products, all made from whole milk. This includes Anchor Full Cream Milk Powder, Anchor Full Cream UHT Milk, Anchor Low Fat UHT Milk, and Anchor Family Milk Choco.
Thank you Anchor for the wonderful brunch π
