Our next visit to the Developmental Pediatrician
My son is scheduled to have his second visit to the Developmental Pediatrician this November. While the day is getting nearer, I am kinda excited and nervous at the same time. Our first visit to the DevPed was when he was only 2 years old and 10 months and that is when we found out about his condition. We followed the DevPed advise to have my son visit an Occupational Therapist twice a week first, then have a Speech therapist after 3 or 6 months.
The consultation to a DevPed should be done every 6 months but there were lots of circumstances that we haven’t followed it up until this year. To prepare for our next visit, I have to ask for a progress report from my son’s Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist.
So, let’s see what will happen next.

Today nga parang suko na ako. I am looking for any facility na makakatulong sana, then napunta ako sa site mo. I read na you suggested to another mom to go to a developmental pyschologist, to find the root of his bad behavior. Cge i will do that muna, kasi i was thinking na i have to bring my child to a psychiatrist, then sa isang facility to teach him. Please reply.
mother, yung regular pedia nyo hindi kayo inadvise magpa therapy? ang Down Syndrome kasi ay mula pagkalabas andyan na compared sa Autism na late na nakikita. Usually ina advise na agad na ipa therapy.
Hi po, my name is Laila may anak po ako na 7 years old. I need advice po sa kanyang behavior. He used to be not so clingy to me at naiiwan ko na din po siya mag-isa sa school until he was in Grade one. The first quarter was ok, but when he reaches 7 years old, nagbago lahat, bigla na lang po siyang naging masyadong dependent sa akin, gusto po pg pasok sa school babantayan ko siya at pag hindi niya ako nakita, mg tatantrums na siya at lalabas ng room, umiiyak. Kahit san ako pumunta gusto niya kasama siya. Nag woworry na po kasi ako kasi ayaw na niya pumasok kung di ako kasama, his school won’t allow that. Kinausap ko na po siya kung ano ang dahilan bat ayaw niya mg-isa pero ayaw niya magsalita. Gusto ko na po mg seek ng professional advice kasi naapektuhan na rin po ang work ko kaya di ko alam kung saan ako mgsisimula at kanino dapat ako pupuntang doktor. Minsan naman parang amy sariling mundo na natutulala. .nakakausap naman siya kaso ung salita niya delayed.
Unlike sa pangkaraniwang bata..maiksi pasensya niya..tanging games lang ang makakapag stay sa knya.hindi niya gustong manood ng tv dahil nabobored kagad siya.and he taps his hand sa mga laruan niya..dingding or kahit saan na pwedeng mag create ng tapping sound.napaka energetic niya.i am assuming na may adhd anak ko.jist felt sad lang na bakit ung needed appoitment namin sa doctor it takes a year for the sched tpos yung isa a month or 2..wala bang on the spot pwede na check ung anak ko?
as far as I know, pinakamabilis na ang 2weeks to month ang schedule

i have a son turning 4yrs old this july 8, since 2yrs old napansin ko na may iba sknya..
1.).super Hyper,
2.)diagnosed by his pedia speech delayed when he was 1yr old & half
3.) never xa mapapaupo ng tatagal sa 30secs unless watching cartoons, playing in ipad/cellphone… (ex. d km mka pag church kc nasigaw at pumipiglas pag karga at nka upo)
4.) pag meron xa d nakukuha sobra ang iyak natili pa,,
sb sa pgh lng daw po ang may murang check up kaso PILA to the max at first 20 lang daw ang na eentertain…
the rest private w/c 4k anf fee..
bka po may marefer kau mura kht pila bsta medyo malapit na devped at sch for theraphy OT na mura din dito kc sa may brookside nsa p550/session per 1/hr lng at p1200 ang assessment… pls thank u in advance…

Unfortunately sa PGH lang din ang alam ko na mura. But I will not go back there with my son kasi sa sobrang haba ng pila, kawawa ang bata sa pag-aantay.

Yung anak ko po na 4 years old..ndi pa po sxa maka oag salita ng dretso..hyper din po sxa…at mahirap pasunurin..pinasok ko po sxa sa summer class pero..pag lalaro LNG ginawa nya..ndi sya nkikinig..maiksi rin po ang pasensxa nya page my bagay sxa na di nya nkakaya..gsto ko po sana sxa I pa check up..San po kaya maganda..salamat po
saan po kayo malapit? I suggest visit the nearest DevPed in your area para di na kayo mahirapan puntahan.

I hope you get good results when you get his progress report from his OT & ST and I hope everything goes as smoothly as they can possibly be! 🙂
