Located at Hawilian 2, Brgy Upli, Alfonso, Cavite, ZenZen now offers more than just great Japanese and Asian food. Their new Family Farm Experience gives visitors a chance to interact with nature, animals, and hands-on activities that both kids and adults will enjoy.
Fun for the Whole Family
We discovered this experience on a Sunday morning and immediately knew it would be something special. Best of all, ZenZen keeps it accessible: you can join the farm tour for PHP 250 per adult or PHP 200 per child. If you prefer a combo experience, you can also avail their Meal Set for PHP 400, which includes both the tour and food.

Before heading to the farm activities, make sure you’re full — especially if you’re doing the tour after breakfast or lunch. The experience is best enjoyed with a comfortable tummy, so you can explore without hunger pulling your attention.

Guided Farm Tour with Lots to Explore
Once you enter the farm area, you’ll be welcomed by ZenZen’s beautiful torii gates, setting a calming, Japan-inspired vibe. A tour guide will take you through each station, making sure you don’t miss a thing.

The first stop was the Bird Garden, also called the Kotori Bird Garden. Here, we got to feed a variety of birds. My son and husband especially loved this part. There were even iguanas available to interact with — and yes, my son was brave enough to hold one!

Toridori Chicken Village
Next we walked to the Toridori Chicken Village, where many varieties of chicken are raised. This area not only offers an educational look at poultry farming, but also includes fun photo spots for kids and adults alike. Just a quick tip: don’t forget to apply insect repellent before exploring this area.
Tsuribori Fishing Village
Another highlight was the Tsuribori Fishing Village — a pond where kids and adults alike can try their hand at fishing. This was a first for my son, and it made the whole experience even more memorable.

Midori Learning Farm – Hands-On Planting
Lastly, we visited the Midori Learning Farm, where we learned about organic planting, hydroponics, and aquaponics. It was a hands-on activity that both parents and kids could participate in. By the end of the session, we were able to take home a small pot with pechay or lettuce that we planted ourselves. It’s a simple but impactful reminder of how plants grow and how we can care for them.
Cafe, Snacks, and Pasalubong
When the tour wraps up, make sure to check out the ZenZen cafe where you can relax with coffee or refreshments. The farm also has stalls selling goodies like cookies, jams, and banana chips — perfect for pasalubong or afternoon snacks.
Final Thoughts
A day at the ZenZen Family Farm is perfect for parents who want their kids to spend time outside, learn new things, and enjoy nature away from gadgets. Whether it’s bird feeding, trying fishing for the first time, or learning how to plant, there’s something here for everyone.
The experience is educational, interactive, and perfect for a family day out. Plus, the Japan-inspired ambiance at ZenZen adds a special touch to your visit.
