Tagaytay Eats: What We Tried at 7Twenty7 American Diner
If you’re looking for a fun, retro-styled dining experience in Tagaytay, 7Twenty7 American Diner is one spot worth checking out. Located along the way to several hotels and accessible from Cavite, it caught our eye during a recent weekend trip — and even my son specifically asked if we could eat here before heading home.

@mommylevy If you are in Tagaytay and want something different from bulalo, would you try an American diner like this? #TagaytayFinds #FoodSpotsPH #CaviteVlogger #WhenInTagaytay #TikTokFood ♬ 60's Retro GS Group Sounds(1380284) – Hajime Hyakkoku
First Impressions: Retro and Eye-Catching
From the outside, 7Twenty7 grabs your attention right away. The design is bold and nostalgic, reminiscent of classic American diners. Once you step inside, that vibe continues — the interior is full of retro decor and vintage elements that give the place character. There’s even a pinball machine you can play for only five pesos, although when we tried it, one side wasn’t functioning properly. Still, it’s a fun touch and adds to the overall throwback feel.

What We Tried: All Day Meal Madness and More
One of the main offerings we tried was the All Day Meal Madness meal set priced at ₱599. Here’s what came with it:
• Cheesy Quesadilla – A satisfying starter with gooey cheese and bold flavors.
• Burger Steak – Since the crusted cashew fish fillet was unavailable, we opted for this classic dish, which was decent and filling.
• Iced Coffee – Their iced tea was out of stock, so we went with iced coffee instead, which hit the spot.
• Free Ice Cream – This was included with the meal set and was a sweet bonus after the main course.
To compliment the meal, we also ordered the Buffalo Mac and Cheese for ₱365, which was rich, creamy, and perfect for anyone who loves cheesy pasta. Ending our drinks with a Rootbeer Float added that classic diner experience touch — fizzy, sweet, and nostalgic.

Dining Experience
A 10% service charge was added to our bill. At the time of our visit, there were only a few diners in the restaurant, which might be because the menu prices are on the higher side compared to other food choices in Tagaytay. However, the experience itself — especially the retro atmosphere and classic American diner feel — is something different from the usual Tagaytay food spots.

While some diners may prefer classic Tagaytay dishes like bulalo and tawilis, 7Twenty7 is perfect for those who want a fun change of pace or a themed dining experience. If you enjoy classic diner food and retro interiors, it’s a worthy stop.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the food we tried was okay — good comfort food with familiar flavors. It may not be the highlight of every Tagaytay food trip, but it offers a unique retro vibe that’s nice for families, friends, or those wanting something new to try.
Would we go back? Yes — especially if we’re curious to try other items on the menu or just want to soak up the nostalgic diner feel for a meal before or after a Tagaytay staycation.
