Bento Baon Ideas: June 23-27, 2014
Hi mommies!!!!
I am very happy to see that there are now lots of moms who make an effort to create Bento Boxes for their kids. I was inspired by Nanay Des of Nanay Lunches with Love before and now I am also inspiring others to make healthy baons for their kids, that is so great!!!
Bento does not require to always be cute-looking and have pretty designs. Here is a small trivia, there are 2 kinds of Bento: Traditional and Caraben (Character Bento)
I am telling you this because this week, I made a very simple yet very nutritious baon of my son – the Squash Omellette.
Without further ado, here were my creations this week:
- Taco with cabbage, tomato, ground pork and cheese
- Broccoli with corned beef and rice
- Macaroni Sopas
- Bread with cheese
- a slice of apple
…. and as I have mentioned the next one is rice with squash omellete. This is very easy to do and also very nutritious.
How? Just peel the squash, cut it into tiny pieces (make sure it’s thin), beat some eggs, put a little bit of salt and then put in the squash. Heat the pan with oil and cook it.
My son loves it and I know yours will too.
Making kids’ baon does not require to always look beautiful, but instead we should make sure that it is healthy and nutritious. As much as possible don’t include processed food or sweets with it.
Here is a guide that we can follow:
