I don’t like wasting my time in washing clothes
I have a unique kid to manage, an online gig to do to earn some bucks to pay the bills, a house to clean so that the little boy can play properly and a family to feed, so washing clothes is usually not included in my daily schedule. I don’t like that it will consume my 1-3 hours in a day or 4-6 hours in a week.
My solution, hire a labandera or if it is not possible, I will just bring our dirty clothes (except Ren’s school uniforms and our underwears) to the Laundry shop. I usually do it if the weather is just like now – Rainy. Besides washing clothes, I don’t like the smell of clothes that have not dried properly (kulob ang amoy). We don’t have a dryer because I know it is not environmentally friendly, and it is a fact that it is actually more economical when you bring your clothes to the laundry shop.
I have bought a laundry bag from Shopwise for P299. It is huge enough to fit at least 5-7kg of clothes and it has a wheel so that I can easily pull it. The per kilo of clothes at the Laundry shop is around 20-30 pesos My usual bill is around P150-250 only (that is for a week of dirty clothes). In a month that is around P800 – P1000.
I think this is practical already because it saves me on detergent soap, water, fabric conditioner and even some back pain and hand swelling.
