My Luxurious Stay at Anya Resort Tagaytay
When I received an invite to attend a 2 days and 1night Make Time for Me Time event sponsored by AXA at Anya Resort Tagaytay, I was hesitant to say yes at first.
First, because I will go there alone and I have no idea who are the people I will be with. Second, I will leave my husband and son at home and though I know they can manage to be with themselves, I still want them to be with me. Third, I have a lot of household chores and other sidelines I want to do and going to this event will take my time to do all of it.
But then, my husband told me to go and consider it as my birthday gift to myself. He assured me that they will be okay and that I can all do those things after I recharge (sounds scary but yeah, I decided to agree with him).
I actually received two Tagaytay staycation invites, but I decided to say Yes! here because I haven’t been to this resort. Upon doing some research I saw how beautiful the place is. It looks luxurious and I love that they have a heated pool. This is a must with the weather we have today. Also, since the theme is “Make Time For Me Time” I know that I will be treated well, hindi ako masyadong mapapagod.
We rode a bus going to the area. They picked me up at MCX and it was my first time to pass through CALAX going to Tagaytay (we usually go there via Emilio Aguinaldo highway).
Upon arriving, I already felt the luxurious ambiance of the place. It is secluded, private and far from the noisy areas of Tagaytay.
They served us brewed coffee and an early lunch. All the food taste great and the Buko Pie… wow! it’s a must! I remember I got 2 slices of it. I asked the waiter where did they purchased it, and told us that it’s inhouse. We could order 1 box but they need at least 2 days daw (sayang).
Our luggage where brought to our room already before we checked in. They have a golf cart to bring you to your room too. The check in time is 3PM and since we arrived early we were asked to roam around the area after our brunch. Check out my IG vids here:
Here’s our room, my roommate is Jen Aspacio of Marriage and Beyond.
There’s 2 bloggers per room and I’m happy that I was able to share it with Jen. Next to us was Maui Flores of 24Hrs Mommy and Iris of Pinay Ads (some pictures here are from her iPhone 14 Pro Max phone). It’s nice to be with people you seldom see and talk to but happy to be with.
I love the bathroom of Anya. I’ve been to a lot of hotels and resorts and this is the first time I got 2 sinks and a huge bathroom. They also offer bathrobes.
We got a welcome kit from AXA when we also entered our room. It’s a wellness package π
Our room also had a bullet coffee maker that Jen and I enjoyed. We also have a veranda with a garden view. We barely go there though because of the strong wind.
After we took a short rest, we were asked to go back to the exclusive lounge and had a mandala making exercise. I thought that mandala is all about coloring ready made designs, but we were asked to design one from scratch. I am not an artist so this is the best I’ve got. When I showed this to my graphic artist husband he said that it looks like car mags LOL. Anyway, I loved that we were doing this exercise with merienda on the side. The ham sandwich was so good, I think some asked for more (charrrr hahaha)
The next activity was massage oil making. I am familiar with essential oils so this is not new to me, but it’s my first time to create a blend. I love the smell of the lavender oil that I used.
Since we already have a massage oil, we used it for our next activity which was learning how to massage yourself. Yes guys, we can’t always depend on other people to do this for us as much as we want to. We should learn to do it alone. It’s relaxing I tell you.
After that, we had our dinner and again every dish presented by Anya are delicious.
We went back to our room around 8PM. Jen was on a meeting, so I decided to sleep early. I thought that I won’t fall asleep because my boys are not with me but gosh, the pillows and bed of Anya feels so good that I had no problem falling asleep. I am “maarte” in terms of pillow kaya I really appreciate the softness of their pillows, it’s comfy.
The next day, I woke up early because I planned to use the pool. Iris was supposed to come with me but I was too shy to ring their bell early in the morning so I went alone. It was too windy that day, but because of Anya’s heated pool, I did not feel the cold weather of Tagaytay at all. Hindi ako nanginginig sa ginaw kahit sa pag-ahon.
I stayed at the pool for 30 minutes because I needed to prepare for the next activity. It was a yoga and meditation exercise. Ang sarap ng asa open area tapos ang hangin.
After the yoga exercise, we had our lunch at the pool side. Grabe! another plus side of Anya, I enjoyed the food I got from the selection. Kahit walang bacon that time, yung tocino nila at tapa pasado talaga. They also have an area for different kinds of breads and salads. Grabe yung busog ko.
We finished our breakfast at 10am and we prepared to check out na. But before going home, pinag lunch pa nila kami and I can’t even touch the food na. Sobrang busog na ako. If only I could take it out. LOL
Anyway, I can say that I really had a good time that day. I would like to thank AXA and ComCo PR for including me in this Make Time for Me Time event and for my boys for letting me say yes.
I wish to visit this place again with my husband and son and let them enjoy it too.
