How to cook Tinolang Halaan
As I have mentioned in my previous post, I was really craving for seafood. Ren enjoys eating it too, that’s why I decided to buy halaan when I saw it at Landers Alabang the other day.
He loves the baked tahong with cheese that he had but unfortunately walang tahong na available kundi ito lang kaya yun lang binili ko. I thought that it’s also perfect for this Holy Week.
Here is the recipe:
1kilo halaan
1 pack chili leaves (or malunggay/spinach leaves)
ginger
onion
salt
oil
water
Procedure:
1. In a pot, saute the onion and ginger first. Then put in the halaan (binabad ko muna ito ng ilang minuto para bumuka). Do not add water first.
2. After a few minutes add water and a bit of salt.
3. Add chili leaves
That’s it! It’s too easy isn’t it?
Serve with hot rice and enjoy π

Ay wow. Na miss ko naman bigla sa probinsya. Alam nyo po mga tita at pinsan ko naghahanap ng mga ganito, tapos pang ulam namin. Di ko po sure kung anong tawag. Pero iba ibang luto. Minsan with shells, minsan yung laman lang.
