Pililla Windmills Farm Visit
As I have mentioned in my recent post, we were at Pililla Rizal last Good Friday until Black Saturday for their Pabasa.
While weΒ were there, we decided to visit the newest destination near the area, the Pililla Windmills Farm.
It is located in Barangay Halayhayin in Pililla, Rizal,Β If you think Ilocos is quite far just to see some windmills, Pililla Rizal is more accessible to Metro Manila. It is just a few hours travel time.
The road going there is zigzag but it’s not steep or scary. I wish all zigzag roads are like that π plus you can have a nice view of Laguna Lake while going there.
Entrance to the place is free, but there is a P30.00 parking fee. Most of the guests during our visit are bikers. There are refreshments and snacks around the area that are not yet overpriced too. We had dirty ice cream and they’re yummy in fairness.
What I don’t like about the place is the walking area, ang dumi ng sapatos namin dahil ang alikabok. Maybe because of the super hot weather.
I hope they will develop the place to attract more tourist and help the locals too.

We’ve been there recently and the sight is real nice. Comparing to those that are in Ilocos, these looked much better. Probably because they are relatively new.
One challenge with the site is that there is not much activity. After you see the windmills, you leave. Or you can opt to have food trips with some of the restaurants along the way.
During our trip, we dined at the Bulawan Floating Restaurant.

My husband was assigned in Pililla back in 2013. We moved there with him during his duty assignment and were able to attend the wind farm’s groundbreaking ceremony. That place is super nice! It’s great to see those windmill’s up and running already. <3
