A Father’s letter to his 6 years old son

It’s Ren’s birthday today.  And his dad made a letter (oppps a poem pala) just for him.  I was teary eyed after reading it.

Hi Ren, how do you do?
I wrote this poem to you,
to tell you how much I love you.

From the day that God brought you to me,
I knew you’d make our lives special:
your mother and me.

For this I thank the Lord everyday,
because you show that you love us
in your own special way.

Life is hard you see us cry,
but you mysteriously make us smile…
you don’t even try.

And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night….
Just a hug from you tells me that
everything’s gonna be alright.

Please excuse me and your mother for
kissing you from time to time,
It’s just that we love you so much…
don’t worry, we don’t slime.

Today is your birthday, you’re one more year older
Maybe after a few years you’ll be even taller than your mother

No riches on earth could ever compare, to the gift of love that you share.

Our journey is almost over
but yours my son, has just begun.
Now go out there and have some fun.
