Used magazine or newspaper for gift wrapping!
Ever since I had a job after graduating from College (last year 2001) I promised myself that I will give away some of my blessings to my relatives at Tarlac.Β They have helped my family when we were still young with a single mom so I thought to give back even how simple it might be.
I started to host games that kids and adult will enjoy.Β My siblings now are helping me to continue what I started since I myself is already a stay at home mom.
Every year, I use Christmas wrappers for our give away items, but I decided to use magazine pages last Christmas because of the following:
1. It is way cheaper- I got some magazines from the malls and some stores for free.Β The money that I saved from buying the Christmas wrappers can be used to sponsor additional prizes for the games.
2. It is environmentally friendly- I have saved paper for using old one.
It might not look great or presentable compared when it was wrapped with Christmas wrappers but for me, what’s important was what’s inside and how we can help our mother earth.Β This is a great way to start teaching kids the value of recycling too.
There are other great ideas on how to use old newspapers but I just don’t know how to do it beautifully like these ones:
Isn’t it nice?

Hiya! These are super clever ideas for gift wrap…the newspaper is truly transformed, especially with the curled newspaper bow! I invented a reusable adjustable wrapping fabric called Wonderful Gift Wrap as an alternative to traditional single use paper gift wrap! Thought you might be interested…you can check us out at

I like this creativity. Instead of throwing which mostly people do after reading esp. the newspaper there’s still a use, as gift wrapper.
I hope everyday it’s a giving day! para masaya!
