Nido Fortified’s new exciting flavors: Melon and Choco
Nido Fortified is my son’s milk ever since he reached 4 years old. I chose it because it tastes good and it has less sugar on it, and also it is more affordable than the other brands I know. But, as he grew older, he doesn’t like to drink that much milk anymore because he wants to eat more solid foods. I am not complaining because I think its a good thing but I know that his daily nutrition is not enough to give him the vitamins that he needs, so a glass of milk for me is still necessary.
Last Monday, November 12, I was invited to witness the launching of 2 exciting flavors from Nido Fortified. It was the Nido Forti Melon and Nido Forti Choco. I kinda expected the Chocolate flavor, because everyone loves it, but wait… Melon? are you sure?
The event was hosted by Suzi Entrata-Abrera who is so slim by the way.
According to Ms. Ting Mercado, they made a research and study, and that is starting at the age of three, children drink less milk and one of the factors for this was because what we call milk taste fatigue. Milk taste fatigue happens when children as early as three years of age grow tired of the taste of milk, and starts looking for variety and new flavors.
With this new exciting flavors, Nido is hoping that kids will not get tired of drinking their milk.
Nido Forti Melon and Nido Forti Choco is packed with essential nutrients, such as Calcium, which is important for the development of bones and health; zinc for normal growth and protein for muscle development. It is also enriched with essential vitamins and minerals to support children’s growth and development, with high levels of Iron, B-Vitamins and Vitamin C.
Nido Forti Melon and Nido Forti Choco will be available beginning November 2012, on a permanent basis. It will cost P69.00/150g and P299.00/700g. Very affordable!
At the event, they gave us samples of Nido Forti Melon and Nido Forti Choco to taste. I thought that Melon milk would taste weird but when I tasted it…. wow, I loved it!
When I arrived home, I excitedly made a glass of milk for my husband and for my son and guess what, they both liked it. My son drank the Melon Flavor first and when he finished it, he even got his daddy’s share.
In the morning he now drinks a glass of the Melon Flavor, and one with the Choco Flavor at night. And Mama and Daddy sneaks to drink some when Ren is not looking. 🙂
