Bloguardian Hellsite: Overcashed is back! Time to reunite with M3o. Let us all spread the word!
Come, join the welcome party! It’s raining champagne and DOLLARS now!
I really missed this site. It was gone for a few weeks but thankfully it came back online again. My mind was beginning to play tricks on me and I was thinking of reasons on what had really happened: Has she finally won the jackpot in the lottery and gave up blogging? or did she win a vacation trip besides the stuff she have won on Salad Bowl of Thoughts? I am so thrilled the other day that I finally saw a new post on it.
She has a mini contest on her blog right now to celebrate the resurrection of her blog, what a come back!
She has a question and she wants some advise. I am not that techie, so I need to consult some people to give her the best possible answer. So here’s the question: Now that BHO is back, should I migrate it to WordPress while it is up? Why or why not? This means I have to change domain as well, what will I do with BHO’s PR4?
whew, this is such a hard question since I also want to have my own domain but what makes me think twice for doing it was my PR which is PR3, and what more with her.. the BHO is a PR4 blog (eye rolling).
I got this answer from my husband and one of her friend since they both transferred their blogs to wordpress from blogspot, considering that their old site was PR3. Good to know that the new sites got thePR3 after few months. So here it is:
It actually depends on which direction you really want your blog to go. There are really almost equal amount of positive and negative points to consider when deciding the move. For one thing, the PR of your blog will not be transferred when you move. And also if there are advertisers currently on your blog, some of them may turn away and not advertise anymore bacause the traffic will eventually dwindle. On the other hand, the positive thing that would happen is your site would be more reliable and stable. Also eventually by being serious in link building again and site marketing, your PR will eventually go up again over time. And by getting your PR back, advertisers will start getting Ads on your site again.
So my answer to your question is this: If your income greatly depends on the ads of your blogs, then you should just stick with blogspot. But if you are not really making a lot of money on your blog then it is ok to transfer and just double your efforts to get it right back on it’s feet.
I hope we helped you Liz in deciding. Good luck!
