Have you heard Pres. Arroyo’s SONA?
Before, I do not care what will the elected President will tell during his/her SONA, maybe because I’m not yet a voter at that time. It’s funny but this is really my very first time to register as a voter and I am already 28 years old. But, since I’m already a mother I want to be a part of the political happenings in our nation, for my son’s future.
Pres. Arroyo talked about strong economy we have here in the Philippines, despite of Global recession. She even shows graphs of growing IRA (what is it?), housing, school buildings etc. but I still can’t feel and see the things she was talking about. Is it because I am not a political analyst? sigh… If only I didn’t hate my Economics class, I will understand some of the terms she have used.
But why is it that most of the Filipinos are waiting for her to say that she will step out of the Presidency position once and for all. I heard that Pres. Arroyo said on her SONA (if I am not mistaken it’s year 2002) that she will not run for Presidency for 2004, but in the end she still proclaim that she will run, and that’s when the “hello Garci” controversies came up.
What do you think is the legacy this administration have brought to us for them to be remembered?
Ahhhhh… I know! and it’s the happiest day every time she declared it a “Holiday”… She always moved legal holidays to the nearest Friday or Monday if the original date fall down on weekdays.
Anyway, I think it’s okay because according to her it increases revenue in tourism.
Why is it that even though she’s working hard for the Philippines she can’t get the support and trust of the people? In fairness with her, she is really industrious, and it’s not a joke to stay in the position besides of all the problems this country is facing. I don’t know if I can do the same.
Dear Lord, please give us a credible, honest and God fearing president in this coming election (if ever there will be one!)
