Canon Pixma iP2770 converted to (CISS) Continuous Ink Supply System
Before the school year officially starts, our 3 years old HP printer got broken. My neighbor volunteered to check it out and he found out that the power supply was broken so he asked us to buy one.
Upon checking, the price of that item is less than 1K in Shopee. And since the ink is quite expensive with our old printer and it only lasts for a few prints, we decided to just let go of it (we gave it to our neighbor who offered to fix it) and bought a new one with CISS or continuous ink supply system.
We checked for a lot of different kinds of printer with tank in Shopee since we can’t go out to buy one at the store personally. There were a lot of options and the price ranges from 10K and below.
The first one we have chosen was an Epson L3110 Printer. It can be used to scan and photocopy beside printing docs. But since this school year, most of Ren’s lessons are online we thought that we don’t need the extra service of a scanner and photocopying machine. So my husband looked for another one and we landed with this Canon Pixma iP2770 and chose the one with CISS ink.
Originally, this printer uses ink cartridges but you have an option to get the one with CISS ink. Disclaimer though adding a CISS to your printer will require to alter the mechanism of the cartridges so it will void it’s warranty, so it’s up to you if you want to take the risk or buy another brand of printer with CISS which is more expensive obviously.

What I like about it at first is that it is 50% cheaper than the Epson we previously chose. Well that’s because it’s purely a printer and no extra function hehehe.
This is the link of the item I bought from Shopee – https://shopee.ph/product/79251728/1322313923. I got the printer for P3300. I also ordered extra inks for P300.
The items were delivered after 5 days and it’s a good thing that they are all in good conditions.
My husband installed it immediately and I used it to print these quotes that I displayed in my son’s study area.
Overall, I am satisfied with this product. It is affordable and can provide the same quality like our previous non-CISS printer. I only hope that it will last long para sulit lalo.
