Our Kitchen Makeover
Last year we had a house renovation. The idea started when we first had our bathroom renovated, then it turned out great (read my story about it HERE).
My original plan is to do the renovation area by area para hindi ganun kasakit sa bulsa, kaso masakit sa ilong ang alikabok at sa mata ang gulo, I swear gugustuhin mong tapusin na lahat kesa pakunti kunti.
That’s why I decided that instead of buying a new car, why not do the house renovation first. Besides, lagi naman kaming asa bahay tatlo. I believe that a clutter free and comfy home makes us more relaxed and happier.
Our house renovation started at the last week of August and finished at the end of October. We rented a house nearby to put our stuff there while the renovation was ongoing. We just stayed inside our bedroom in the afternoon for internet usage and to sleep at night. We only stayed at the rented house to teach Ren in the morning. We rented the place for 2 months.
Anyway, to those who are waiting for the finished product of the renovation, ito pa lang mapapakita ko – our Kitchen.
Actually this is our second kitchen makeover. This was what it looked like when our house was turned over to us.
Then I decided to remove the sink and put it outside and decided to close the back area of our townhouse unit.
This was what it looked like before.
I was not satisfied with the work of the previous contractor. The tiles were not properly cut and there was a leak on the roof near the wall. They’re our neighbor so I’m shy to tell them about it.
That’s why, for this renovation, I decided to get a more reliable contractor and has a nice portfolio. Tapos nagpa slab din ako ng 2nd floor kasi nagdagdag ako ng isa pang kwarto sa taas (my husband’s art and whatever area).
I’m so thankful na natapos ang renovation before pumutok ang Taal Volcano. Thank God talaga!
My contractor was JPRC Construction Company. They have an office here in Daang Hari (just in front of our subdivision, if you are interested to know).
They are a bit expensive than others pero doon na ako sa di ako maiistress.
Here’s a photo from Day1 until it was finished.
Here’s what our kitchen looks like now.
I know you are interested to know how much I spent for that area alone. Sorry but I don’t want to compute. Ayoko na sya isipin hahaha.
BTW, I have a different contractor for the sink area, tiles and carpenter for the kitchen cabinet. Those were not part of my contract with JPRC Construction.
I also bought a new refrigerator and gas range + range hood which I will blog soon to review. Stay tuned!!!
Do you like my new kitchen?

Thank you mommy. Ang fresh na ng kitchen mo!

1. Gaano katagal ginawa? (as mentioned, 2 months)
2. Sino po nagdesign? (ako ang interior designer naks, thanks Pinterest for ideas.
Thank you mommy. Ang fresh na ng kitchen mo! (Thank You!)
