Linggo/Buwan ng Wika Costumes at Baclaran
Since the month of August is just around the corner and if your son/daughter is at school, there’s a possibility that they will celebrate Linggo ng Wika or Buwan ng Wika this month.
To help you where you can buy affordable Linggo ng Wika costumes, I went again to Baclaran a few days ago to get updates on the prices and show to you sample style of the costumes available there.
The stores are located at the back of Baclaran church. Here’s the street.
DISCLAIMER: Hindi ako tindera, blogger po ako. Huwag nyo ako tanungin kung may pwesto kami sa Baclaran at bibili kayo hehehe.
LINGGO NG WIKA COSTUME IDEAS
The Filipiniana gown (ballroom style, di ko alam tawag.. basta yung pabilog yung sa may hips pababa) is more expensive than the regular ones. Price ranges from P800-P1,200. Mayroon din pang-adult for teachers or parents na gusto rumampa.
The regular ones are from P280-P400 (depending on the size). The Baro’t Saya is around P280-P350
If you will go further inside the GG Cruz street you’ll see more costumes.
There are also accessories available like bakya, salakot and even head pieces.
UNITED NATION COSTUMES
Besides the Linggo ng Wika/ Filipino Costumes, you could also see costumes for the United Nations celebration. Like Korean attire, Japanese, Chinese, Arab, Egyptian etc.
Compared to the ones available at the mall, the prices of costumes here are way, way cheaper. If this area is accessible to you, then I suggest you go here.
But if you have time, a DIY costume for me is much better. My son even got an award – Best in Costume for wearing a DIY one in his previous school. Just make use of old clothes add some dash of creativity and viola, a unique costume for your little one 🙂 walang katulad.
