My Diamond Facial and Electrocautery Treatment at Slimmers World Face and Skin Clinic in SM Bacoor

One of the activities that I love to do during my “me-time” is to have a facial treatment in a skin clinic in Cavite or other areas I want to try. If budget permits, I usually do that once a month specifically a few days before or after my monthly period because that is when I usually get breakouts and huge pimples on my face.

First is the skin consultation. The consultant will give you the skin
consultation form for you to be filled out, to check if you have allergies since it will affect your future treatment. After that, skin consultation is rendered by their skin consultant. During that session, you will be receiving treatment recommendations, including the number of sessions, as well as the price.

To give you an idea, I told them that I usually get whiteheads and blackheads and few warts on the face. Then I told them that I want to finally get rid of my sebaceous hyperplasia on my nose. After telling them those concerns, their advice is for me to get a diamond ultrapeel facial and electrocautery for my nose. DIAMOND FACIAL

I’ve been doing this kind of facial every time I have extra money. Why? because it is more expensive compared to basic facials. That’s because besides the usual cleaning, pricking and mask, they use a machine with diamond tip wands. It is recommended for blemished skin, acne, scars, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots and pigmentations.

Here’s the procedure for those who haven’t done this before:

1. Cleansing

• Steaming then vacuuming

• Removing/Pricking of white and black heads

• High frequency facial which is used to close the pores and relax the skin after pricking.

Was it painful? No need to worry, they will put a topical anesthesia before the dermatologist starts this procedure.

After the first session, you have to wait for 2 weeks before the next one. This downtime was actually what I don’t like and the reason why I hesitate to do it before. I wore a mask when I need to go out and meet friends after the procedure.

But I realized that if I will not do it now, kelan pa? I know that first impressions last, and as a blogger who attends company events, interacts with clients and planning to do meet-ups with followers, I know that being presentable and having a clear skin will increase my confidence level. It would be nice if I could take a picture without using a filter to hide my blemishes. Para kahit makita ako ng tao sa personal, same lang ang itsura sa picture ng skin ko, right?

Another derma used an IL Injection on my sebaceous hyperplasia before but I only did it once (this is how it looks like 3 years ago and after the IL injection).  As you can see, the bumps are still there.

Yes my nose is still red after the electrocautery, but I noticed that the bumps are flatter now compared before.

I hope after a few weeks, the red color will subside and that I’ll achieve the smoother nose that I hope to have.  

DIAMOND FACIAL (for my 11 year old son)

On my 2nd visit, I brought my son with me. He is now hitting puberty and he has small pimples, white and blackheads coming out. I believe in the saying “prevention is better than cure”, plus I heard that other countries start their skin care routine as early as 10 years old. I don’t want him to suffer from skin problems on his teenage years until adulthood so I brought him for skin check-up. They adviced him to have a basic facial and use the smallest wand of the diamond treatment to get rid of blemishes.
