Quality vs. Quantity in Clothing
Uniforms is one of the reasons why I chose the school I went to when I was in College. I have chosen a school that’s exclusive for girls and the uniform is not all white. It’s hard to have an all white uniform for a woman if you have an irregular period or you are commuting (mahirap madumihan). I also like a school with uniform because I have a limited wardrobe back then. Pag may uniform, hindi halatang wala kang masyadong damit.
I only started getting a lot of clothes when I was working and our company did not require their employees to have a uniform. As a young (silly) newly graduate person, I want my co-employees to think that I am hip and stylish (like them), so every time I received my salary I immediately go shopping for new pieces of clothes. I was convinced that new clothes will make me happier, more fashionable, and more popular.
Then just one day, I realized that I don’t have any savings and I accumulated a lot of clothes already. It’s a good thing that I have a sister who loves some of my clothes and doesn’t care if it’s a hand me down.
Now, as a stay at home mom and somehow wiser, I prefer to be a minimalist. Our house is small and I know that buying a lot of stuff will make our place crowded. I decided to give away clothes we don’t use anymore so that others who need it more than we do can still use it.
I only have a few pieces of clothes that I use when I have blogging events or for occasions that I need to be presentable and dressed up. One of the clothes I like the most are my denim polos. I bought it from Bayo and SM Woman.
Here are some of my photos were you can see me wearing it.

You know what, I am happier with fewer clothes (I hope I can say the same with shoes or bags).
It is not stressful to think which one to wear every time I go out. I just grab it and pair it with any jeans or slacks or skirt and then viola I’m ready to go.
What I value now is the quality of my things than quantity. I make sure to buy piece of items that I know will last longer. I like to have a timeless pair of jeans from Levi’s.
Yes I know Levi’s are quite expensive, but based on experience, I swear they last long and you can make sure you get the value for your money. I don’t have a short denim blouse yet, so I am eyeing to get this one soon from Levi’s.
Having a few clothes doesn’t limit you, just wear them confidently, put a smile on your face and you’re ready to go.

Bagay sayo ang denim tops! Fewer, better things. That has been my shopping mantra in the past years. Minimalist wannabe here. Sa bags, kaya ko na, tingin ko. Pero medyo hirap pa rin ako magpigil sa shoes, hahaha. 🙂
