Ren’s Swimming Class by Milo at Molino Cavite
As I have mentioned in my previous post, Ren has joined the Milo Sports Clinic (major in Swimming hehehe) this summer.
Now after his 10 sessions, I can finally say that I am so happy that he experienced and learned the basic principles of swimming.
He was originally included with the group here at our own subdivision, but unfortunately, the filter of the pool is not functioning very well (thus made the water dirty), so the Milo team told us to choose other venues that we can find that is accessible.
There are lots of Milo Sports Clinic here at Cavite, but we decided to choose the one here at the Paradiso Terrestre because the schedule is in the afternoon and it’s the only time I am available to accompany my son.
Ren was handled by Coach Joey, and I was surprised that he gives Ren his full attention. They are practicing one on one.
For the first 5 sessions, the usual activities for 4-6 years old are kicking, proper breathing and paddling.
Then on the next 5 sessions it’s about going from one area of the pool to the other, floating, basic diving, survival strokes and basic crawling.
I am glad that Ren listens to his coach’s instructions and tips. I am so proud just by looking at him following instructions.
I have talked to the head coach, Rey Panlaqui when he visited the area, he said that there are lots of students this year but they make sure that they have enough coaches per area to handle the kids. They have a maximum of 5 students per coach. He and Coach Joey even handles kids with special cases.
On the 9th day, Ren was taught how to make front crawl or also known as freestyle strokes. Ren needs to coordinate his head, arms and legs. I can’t do this stroke myself that is why I feel that it’s hard.
Overall, our first time at Milo Sports Clinic was a very pleasant one. If Ren will continue doing this, I know his lungs and the muscles on his leg and arms will get stronger. I am planning to do swimming with him every Saturday and Sunday (so wish me luck).
Thank you so much Milo Sports Clinic and Nuffnang Philippines for this opportunity. We will see you next summer!!!

Good job Ren! Dapat yata sa #MiloSportsClinic ako nag-enjoin noon baka natuto ako. We had swimming lesson back in college pero di ako natuto-tuto. We’ll enroll my brother habang bata pa sya halos ka-age ni Ren, perhaps next summer. 🙂
Mommy Levy says
Hi Marj, naku ako din di marunong hahaha. Mas mabilis siguro matuto kung bata pa nag start. Enroll your brother na!
