I want to have $1,000!

While doing the usual blog hopping and online researching yesterday I passed by this interesting site called YOUSAYTOO! This is a site wherein you can create your own blogs, upload flash games, start discussions with other members and make revenue using Google AdSense and Amazon Affiliate. But what really catched my attention was their ongoing contest the “YouSayToo’s Awards” Oh! lala.. 10 blog authors will have a chance to take home a gift of their choice and one LUCKY blogger can even take home a cash prize worth 1,000 U.S DOLLARS… Oh my God! This must be me…

My heart almost leaped out of my chest when I saw this, because I really need that huge amount of money. Why? Because I want to have a new Sofa sets as a gift.  Here is the current picture of our sofa; can you see the masking tape that we used to patch up all the holes in it?

We even try to avoid taking pictures near the sofa, or hide it with lots of throw pillow because we are so ashamed of its looks; we decided to swallow our pride to show it to you.

The sofa was bought by my late father-in-law 5 years ago, and now it really needs a major repair or even better a new replacement. My son does not even want to sit there because instead of feeling the comfort, he can feel the pain on his butt when sitting there! poor baby.  Maybe you’ll ask, why is that I don’t buy a new one if it’s really that horrible and useless, well if you have minimal income and that there is only one person in the family who is working then you should know the answer.

Also, I want to win because I want to buy a personal refrigerator.  We had an old 6 cu.ft. Refrigerator but due to the last typhoon and our house was in flood, the poor old machine already gave up.  We didn’t expect that the water will reached the ref so we did not transfer it to a higher ground.  I want a personal ref because it is smaller and easy to lift up, besides we are only 3 in the family and we don’t need a bigger one. I am getting tired of going to my neighbor to ask them if I could put my son’s medicine in their ref. Also, maybe it was one of the reasons why I am fat because we need to eat all the food that we’re left in the evening, I am too shy to ask for the neighbor to store it in their ref that is why to avoid spoilage hubby and I need to consume it at the middle of the night.

The last item I want to have as a gift is a comfortable computer chair.  Hubby and I really needs this one, because most of the time we spent is in the front of the computer and having a hard chair to sit on is really painful on the back.   Hubby always complains that his back hurts after a long hard day.  If we have a very nice and comfortable chair I know he can work faster and happier.
