10 Wise Words from my Mom
Yesterday March 8 was the celebration of International Women’s Day. As a woman, I am lucky that I am now living in an era where women’s rights are being promoted and pushed into law.
My mom is an empowered woman. I adore her for being a smart, tough and a loving prayerful mom.Β I won’t settle for anyone else but her and I am lucky that I have her for a mom. Siya ang totoong SUPERMOM π
While thinking of how she was able to survive all the trials that she encountered from then until now (she’s a widow at an early age of 36),Β I remembered some of her advice to me and my siblings.
Let me share them with you:
Advices about Having a Family
1. Kahit babae ka, hindi pwede na naka depende ka sa income ng asawa mo. Dapat mag-isip ka ng paraan para may sarili kang kita.
2. Pag nabuntis ka at ayaw kang pangatawanan ng lalaki, okay lang yan.Β Kayanin mong palakihin ang anak mo mag-isa.
3. Mahalin mo ang anak mo maging anong klaseng anak man yan kasi ang anak hindi napipili, ang asawa pwede pa.
4. Kapag nag-asawa na, hindi dapat nakadepende pa din sa magulang. Matutong tumayo sa sariling paa.
5. Matuto kang makibagay sa biyenan mo, kasama yan sa pagpili ng mapapangasawa.
Advices about Financial and Material Things
6. Hindi nakakahiyang mangutang, ang nakakahiya ay yung nakakalimot at tinatakbuhan mo ang pinagkakautangan mo.
7. Kapag may mga gamit ka na hindi na ginagamit, ipamigay mo sa nangangailangan
8. Mas mapalad ang nagbibigay kesa sa ikaw ang nanghihingi
Advices about dealing with other people
9. Matutunan mong magtiwala sa ibang tao, pag niloko ka, karma ang babalik sa kanila
10. Matutong tumanaw ng utang na loob, at huwag kalimutang lumingon sa pinanggalingan.
These are just some of her advices that I remember.
