What happened to the 7 Activities I want to do with my family this 2014

Last January 5, 2014 I posted about the 7 Activities I want to do with my family this 2014.

Since, it’s only 4 days from now and we will say goodbye to 2014, I would like to look back and see if I did what I have listed in that post.

Here it goes:

Do the gardening together – FAILED! We did not do anything to our front yard this year.  We where supposed to put a gate this November, but I decided to use the money for the gate for Ren’s 2015-2016 tuition fee instead. I am hoping that we could put up the gate on the first quarter of 2015 and after that we can put whatever plants we want there.

Visit a Beach this Summer – We have visited the Aquaria Beach Resort in Calatagan Batangas last April 2014.  It was a memorable experience because we were lost and had to travel for 6 hours just to get there.  We were just glad that we had fun at the beach even for just a short period of time.

Have a weekly videoke – FAILED! It is because we have more time studying this year.  I was caught off guard of the lessons in Grade 1.  I found the lessons hard that I needed to review Ren all the time.  During weekends, we prefer going out because we spend most of the time at the house during the weekdays and I think Ren needs a break.  I don’t know if we can do this thing again this year.

Have a Staycation – We were able to stay in (2) 5 star hotels this year- Solaire Resort and Casino and Widus Hotel in Clark Pampanga.

My original plan was to have a staycation at Acacia Hotel in Alabang but that did not push through.   I am looking forward to more staycation this year 2015.

Watch Movies in the Cinema– We have watched one movie with Ren this year, while hubby and I have watched 5 movies together naman. Ren was so eager to watch Big Hero 6, it was an amazing movie and I am hoping for more good cartoon movies this coming year.

Teach Ren more Tagalog Words – I think Ren knows more tagalog words now compared last year.  He still doesn’t understand some words but I know as times goes on he will learn it too.

Have a monthly date with hubby– We have watched 5 movies together (as in just the two of us) this year.. wooohooo!!! It may not be a weekly date, but boy this year is better than last year.  I hope we could go to more movie dates this year.

So, out of the 7 things that I planned to do, I only failed on 2 things.  Not bad right?

I am glad that I made that list last January.  I think I will create a new list this coming year.
