You only remember me, when you need me

I used to post anything I feel on my blogs and on my personal FB page. But as time goes by, I realized that it’s not good to rant every now and then. I stayed away from posting any negative things as much as possible. It is because I know people already have a lot of drama in their own lives and I don’t like that you my dear readers feel the burden of my own drama as well. I have realized that, when I usually read negative status of some friends on Facebook, ang bigat lang sa pakiramdam.

Today is #MotivationMonday, and I know a lot of you can relate to this, did this ever happen to you? A friend on Facebook messaged you to ask for LIKEs, someone who PM you and ask if they can lend some money, or a long lost relative or friend who asks for your help but when it’s time that you need some help, you are just being ignored as if they don’t hear anything?

I have experienced all of those things.  Here are my personal take:

• Asking for FB likes for me is okay, that is not a big deal. I can do that in a second or two. Or if I am busy, I know they can understand if I don’t do their request immediately.
• For friends or relatives who asks for some financial help when they see me online is also fine and if ever I have some extra money I would usually give some help. But if I don’t have any, I  just politely say I’m sorry and I hope that they will understand the circumstances.  Not everyday is a hayday.
• But what I don’t like is when someone takes advantage of you and only remembers you when they need a great help.  When they are fine and okay, they will forget about you.

But when I saw this quote somewhere, I realized that I don’t need to feel bad.  Why? read this:

On one of the talk, I have attended at The Feast Alabang, Bro. Arun Cogna (senior Feast builder) told us that if you help someone don’t expect anything in return.  Let the Father in heaven give back what is right for you. That is how the golden rule apply. People may neglect the good things you have done for them but our Father in heaven can see it and will reward you for that.  Just focus on the reward and do good to everyone.
