TCL at 25: A Legacy of Innovation and Everyday Excellence
I had the chance to attend the TLC 25th year milestone event the other day. And as someone currently scouting for a new TV for our home, I was genuinely excited to see first hand what TCL has in store. I’ve been hearing a lot about their Mini-LED tech, so experiencing the brand’s innovation up close felt like perfect timing.

For 25 years, TCL Electronics has been a part of our lives, bringing innovation into our homes. Now recognized as the new Triple Global Top 1 TV Brand in Mini-LED, Google TV, and Ultra-Large Screen TVs (85 inches and above) by OMDIA 2024, the brand celebrated this incredible journey with the 2025 TCL Grand Launch at Okada Manila’s Grand Ballroom. The theme, “Legendary Moment, Timeless Greatness,” wasn’t just words—it was a feeling of looking back at shared milestones and forward to a future where technology continues to elevate everyday living.
A Legacy of Innovation for Filipino Homes
TCL has long been a key player in bringing technological progress to Filipino households, consistently delivering innovations that make daily life easier and more enjoyable. From how families binge-watch teleseryes in immersive visuals and crystal-clear sound, to breezing through laundry with energy-efficient washers, and staying comfortably cool with smart air conditioners—TCL designs its products with real Filipino needs in mind. Their commitment to creating intuitive, efficient, and accessible technologies has made modern living attainable for many.
Visionary Leadership and a Bold Future
Griffin Zhang, General Manager of Asia Pacific Business Group at TCL Industries, opened the event with a strong message: “In the past, TCL has achieved remarkable results in the Philippine market. Our TV and AC sales both hold the No. 1 market share in sales volume and have become trusted brands among consumers.” He emphasized the company’s continued mission—“Technology Creates A Better Life”—and shared TCL’s vision to keep innovating and raising the bar on quality and service.
Peter Chen, CEO of TCL Philippines, followed with a declaration of purpose:
“Being innovative has always been in TCL’s DNA. We are not a follower, but a trailblazer… Let’s work together, progress together, and prosper together.”
What’s New for 2025: Cooler, Cleaner, Smarter, Sharper
The night’s highlight was the official unveiling of TCL’s 2025 product lineup, showcasing four revolutionary technologies under one theme—cooler, cleaner, smarter, and sharper living.

For those like me on the lookout for a new TV, TCL’s latest X11K QD-MiniLED TV was a showstopper. Unveiled by Charlie Huang, Deputy Product Director of Brownline, TCL Philippines, it’s their most advanced TV to date. With unmatched picture quality, deep contrast, and vivid colors, this Mini-LED TV truly represents the next frontier in home entertainment.
Also presented were cutting-edge climate control and home appliance solutions:
- The TCL FreshIN 3.0 Air Conditioner—offering improved indoor air quality with smart, energy-saving features.
- The Super Drum Combo+ C682 Front Load Washer and Dryer—a smart and efficient machine built to simplify chores.
- The AAT Inverter+ C436BMSB Bottom-Mounted Refrigerator—designed to optimize space, efficiency, and convenience.
A Global Partner for Excellence
Another memorable moment was the announcement of TCL’s global partnership with the International Olympic Committee, a collaboration that extends until 2032. It’s a partnership grounded in shared values: passion, performance, and greatness. Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena, currently ranked No. 4 in the world, graced the stage and expressed his pride in joining the TCL family.

“Just as TCL constantly innovates to enhance our lives, we athletes train with the same mindset—pushing for continuous improvement,” EJ shared.
Familiar Faces, Fresh Stories
TCL also welcomed its newest brand ambassadors, Rhian Ramos and Valeen Montenegro, in an intimate fireside chat. Both celebrities shared how TCL’s smart products seamlessly integrate into their lives.

Valeen is a fan of the TCL QD MiniLED TV, calling it a game-changer for home entertainment:
“It turned our space into a full-on entertainment hub. The clarity, the color—it never disappoints.”
Rhian, on the other hand, is all about the FreshIN 3.0 Air Conditioner. She especially loves the voice control feature that doesn’t even require Wi-Fi—“Just say, ‘Hey TCL, turn on the AC,’ and it listens!” she beamed.
Looking Ahead
TCL’s 25-year legacy is only the beginning. As the night came to a close, Cyd Montebon, TCL Philippines Deputy Director of Sales, and Wesley Yang, Deputy Director of Retail, led a heartfelt toast celebrating the brand’s journey.
“TCL is a promise to innovate, connect, and redefine. And after tonight, it’s evident that the best is yet to come,” Yang remarked.
Attending the TCL 25th anniversary celebration at Okada Manila wasn’t just about glitz and glamor—it was a glimpse into the future of smart, stylish, and sustainable living. As I continue my hunt for a new TV, TCL’s X11K QD-MiniLED is now top of mind. After seeing it in action, I get why they’re called the new global top brand in Mini-LED and Google TV. It’s not just about better viewing—it’s about reimagining home life, one brilliant screen at a time.
