Nakpil Eye Clinic and Vision Therapy Center Overview
Last year, I brought Ren to Nakpil Eye Clinic and Vision Therapy Center at Dasmarinas Cavite because he keeps on rubbing and squinting his eyes when in front of the computer. He is homeschooled for 3 years and then back to online class since the pandemic started that’s why he is frequently in front of the computer or his gadgets, and I think it gave a lot of pressure on his eyes.
I learned about Nakpil Eye Clinic when I did some research on Facebook on nearby eye centers. They are actually not near our area since they are located in Dasmarinas Cavite along Aguinaldo Highway, but what made me choose them is that they use a machine to check the status of your pupils.
The consultation fee last year was only P500 pesos (follow up check up is around P300 as far as I remember). You can also buy eyeglasses at their store if the doctor prescribed you to have one. I bought Ren’s eyeglasses here which cost me around P5,000.
After Ren, I also brought my husband here for eye check up and just like Ren, I also bought his prescribed eyeglasses here (which I regretted doing because I found out that their rate is quite high compared to other optical shops).
This year, they had a new branch in Festival Mall Alabang. This is quite nearer to us, so this is where I brought my mom for eye check up last April this year. She was having watery eyes and wanted to know if it’s sore eyes. She was joined by her friend who also wanted to know her eyes’ condition. Please watch my video to see the look of the clinic and to give you an idea on their procedure π
I was surprised that they increased their consultation rate from P500 to P1499 for premium eye check up.
Then the follow up check up is P700 for pediatric and P500 for adults. It is advisable to do a follow up check up every 6 months if you want to avail of the discounted rate.
Last June, I finally decided to also have an eye check up with them. I was the only one in our family kasi na hindi pa nagpapatingin and I felt I need to have an eyeglasses na for my astigmatism (I was diagnosed to have this after College graduation but I don’t like wearing eyeglasses at that time kasi).
Whenever I drive for a long distance or at night kasi I am having trouble with my vision. The eye doctor, told me that my eyes are also dry and I need to put eye drops every 4 hours.
Since I know better now and I already did some research about the price of eyeglasses, I decided not to purchase the prescribed grade on their store. I will buy it from another optical shop, its a good thing naman that they gave me the prescription (stay tuned for my next post about this).
