Sneak Peek of our bedrooms
Many are requesting for a tour of our renovated small house, but I can’t do that yet dahil may mga kulang pa. That’s why I am sharing an area by area pasilip na lang muna. Plus, gusto ko din yung ganto, mas marami akong article na naipo-post dito sa blog.
So for today, I’m going to share with you our master’s bedroom and Ren’s new room. Yes finally after a decade, Ren already sleeps in his own room.

BEFORE
For me, a bedroom should be a relaxing place to stay after working the whole day, that’s why I carefully chose the materials to put in.
In our bedroom, TV and gadgets are not allowed so that we can sleep well.
Let’s start with the bed frame. I bought ours at Mandaue Foam when they had a 30% sale 2 years ago (read my kwento HERE). We’ve been sleeping on the floor since we transferred here in Cavite and this is one of the thing I want to have to make a hotel like bedroom feel.
The bed frame cost P15,000.
The next one is the mattress, I got this first before the bed frame actually. I bought ours at the Uratex Warehouse Sale last December 2018 too. I chose the Hampton Premium because it’s the only mattress that fits my budget at that time hehehe. I got the mattress for P9,000 (original price is P15,000).
Then Canadian Bed and Bath also had their warehouse sale so I bought a mattress topper (for extra comfort), mattress protector, comforter and duvet filler plus pillows from them. I also like to get a Down Alternative Comforter just like this one from Linenspa. As far as I can remember I’ve spent P5,000 for all of those accessories. Mura na yan kasi sa comforter pa lang, kapag hindi sale P4,000 na sa Canadian. I’m glad that my sister was working with them before so she was able to choose the good items for me at sya din nag deliver sa bahay, ang saya hahaha
For the aircon, we decided to get a window type with only 0.5 HP instead of a split type because our room is small (less than 10sqm) and we only stay here at night. I read reviews that split type (inverter aircon) is advisable if you will use it for more than 8 hours a day.
The brand and model we chose is Carrier Optima Green 0.5 HP (WCARZ006EC) . I bought it at Ansons for 10,000. What I like about it is that it has a timer where you can set then it will switch to the fan when it reaches your desired time. It’s cost effective I think.
Instead of curtain, I chose a blinds to put on our window. I think it is easier to clean and I like that it can make our room dark during day time.
Last but not the least is the closet/cabinet. Before our house renovation, we only put our clothes inside boxes. Ang gulo gulo. My plan before was to make a customized cabinet for our clothes, extra bedsheets and pillows kaso ang mahal ng customized at ang tagal pa magawa. Kaya I decided to just get a built-in cabinet already.
We got our cabinet from San Yang Furniture (via All Home Daang Hari) for less than 10,000. Kung customized ‘to baka abutin ako ng 30,000+
Upon delivery, sila na din ang nagbuo.
REN’s ROOM BEFORE
REN’s ROOM NOW
Sobrang liit, pero he likes it here naman. We asked our carpenter to make his bed frame. He’s using our old foam (pinutol lang namin). Since he loves to read, we put all his books here too. And a table for his organ/piano.
We have another room but I can’t show you because it’s full of stuff as of now (medyo magulo pa). It will be used for my husband’s hobby.
Yung room sa dulo yung extra room. So that’s it!
