Maxipeel: Wag Mong Isuko ang Laban Campaign
People are usually quick to judge, I am guilty in doing this too. The first time you meet a person, most of us judge him/her based on the outfit he/she is wearing, based on the bag she uses, based on her shoes, and yes even her skin’s condition. Most of the time, we think that those who doesn’t have a flawless skin are “pabaya” sa sarili.
But what’s funny is that we also judge people if they have a fair skin. Especially if you are a mom, sasabihin naman napaka vain nito, yung mga anak baka napapabayaan na dahil busy magpaganda at mag-inarte.
Alam nyo yun? Kahit saan ka lumugar, people will judge you and for some, this is one of their “Pinakamalaking pagsubok sa buhay”.
Just like one of the Maxi Peel Solutions challenger – Andrea Roces, a Retail Operations Manager.
This is what she said that struck me, “being a career-driven
person and being a front liner in a sales industry, your skills are always
overlooked and if your product is beauty and you have pimples, they
donβt listen to you anymore. I feel so beaten down by my pimple. Its so
hard to persevere and persevere and to be in this industry, para wala
kang choice but to face the consequence of having pimples. Thatβs what I
feel about acne, it beats me.”
I can somehow relate on wjat she said, because just like her, I also worked in a retail operations industry before. You need to look presentable whenever you face the suppliers. Unfortunately, it takes more time for me to look nice because I don’t have a fairer and flawless skin like my co-supervisors. Putting make-up takes so much time. I feel that whenever I talk to them with just my bare face, they are not taking me seriously.
Andrea Roces said that one of the reasons why she joined the Maxipeel Solutions Challenge is for her to feel more confident if she got a clearer skin. She can do her work better because she doesn’t need to think of what other people think of her skin. She’ll be able to focus more on what matters and do better at work.
A few weeks ago, I asked my followers on my Facebook page to share their “Pinakamalaking Pagsubok sa Buhay”. Three lucky sharer will get a loot from Maxipeel.
I submitted 6 entries and Maxipeel chose the winners, here they are:
